Range/Stove Touch Up Paint

I have a range/stove that is biscuit in color. I dropped a corning ware dish on it and it now has a black mark. I am looking for touch up paint for it. This product states it cannot be used for range/stove.
Asked by: Diane
Rust-Oleum Appliance Touch-Up Paint is not recommended for range and stovetop surfaces because it can only withstand temperatures of up to 200°F. If the part of your stove that has a chip is on a surface that will not reach temperatures that high, Appliance Touch-Up Paint can be used.

My tub is old and has an off white finish. This color pretty much matched it exactly. It stays in place pretty good, but sometimes it comes off, so I just reapply it. It makes a easy and cheap fix rather than refinishing the entire tub, and it keeps the spots from rusting and getting worse. The touch up paint coming off might be because I'm using it in the bath tub which is a high traffic area that gets wet and people are treading on the touch up paint. That being said, it has held up very well despite this. I've used their white touch up paint on my drier and only had to apply it once. Because I'm not walking all over my dryer, if that makes sense.

It doesn't have a strong odor and it sprays out nice. Doesn't drip some will drop on side of the can when you tilt them while spraying it. I've had some have to much paint come out and hardly any pressure from can when spraying on. It is a smooth nice easy appliance epoxy to work with. Blends in very well with the original color and no drips or spot where you can see you used it. My washer and fridge was the reason I tried the product. Drys pretty fast too I would recommend this appliance epoxy.

I recieved my appliance touch up paint today, and I have already used it to touch up my porcelain tile floors that have chipped. I have used this appliance touch up paint before on my floors and it works very well, lasts a long time. For small chips on a tile floor I can recomend this Rust-Oleum for a fast long lasting repair, and it drys fast also.

Preparation: The key to success in painting anything depends upon the preparation of the item that you wish to paint. This is true if it is your house, or just a small object. To prep some chips in my porcelain sink, I first took a toothbrush and scrubbed the spots. Second I took a brass brush and did the same. Third took a hair dryer and dried it off. Fourth I wiped it down with acetone. Fifth I applied a first coat. Sixth I waited about an hour and applied a second coat (This is when I read the instructions). I waited a day to use it and it has been working well for about 3 weeks now. Now back to step six where I read the instructions ... It says not for use in sinks, tubs, or other immersed surfaces. Well it worked fine in my sink, so, maybe they got the instructions wrong. I can't think of any place I would use rust-oleum that isn't wet so I will report back in six months to advise if it lasted that long. My guess is that it will. One final note: The color is about a half a shade too dark. But that is better than being too light.
