Answer

We appreciate your interest! Due to the constant exposure to moisture and high humidity, we do not recommend Rust-Oleum Specialty Appliance Epoxy Paint for use inside a bathtub or sink. Instead, the Rust-Oleum Specialty Tub and Tile Refinishing Kit would be a better choice for your project. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Specialty-1-qt-White-Tub-and-Tile-Refinishing-Kit-7860519/202246270 - Rust-Oleum Product Support 3

We appreciate your interest! Rust-Oleum Specialty Appliance is recommended for use on metal surfaces. This product cures to a hard finish, and it may start to crack and peel on wood as the surface contracts and expands. Instead, for a glossy finish on wood surfaces, we recommend Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Protective Enamel Paint! https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Stops-Rust-1-Qt-Protective-Enamel-Gloss-White-Interior-Exterior-Paint-7792504/100117230 - Rust-Oleum Product Support 3

I had a 26 year old refrigerator that had rust spots on the door. My wife would cover the spots with family photos. I first used an orbital sander to remove the major rust, then masked off the bits that I didn't want paint on - then used a primer the prepare the surface. I wasn't certain that the rust-oleum would adhere to the primer but it appears to. I applied the Appliance Paint with a 4 inch roller. It went on smooth & easy leaving an orange peel surface, must like the original finish. As per the label, it was dry to the touch in two hours. I waited 24 hours to apply a 2nd coat. It dried even better, adhering to the surface perfectly, as if it was sprayed on. I highly recommend this product.

Terrific Product
Very pleased with this product. Only took one coat to cover the rusting façade of a 20 yr old refrigerator in the garage. Couldn't be more pleased. I wish I'd taken before and after photos. Amazing! Good coverage with easy application. Hoping this keeps the rust away long term.
