Q:I sprayed the clear Rustoleum on my metal patio set last fall and put a cover over the patio set for the winter. Do I need to re-spray the patio set again this fall or should it still be good?

Q:I asked a question a couple of days ago about spray painting the metal frame of my (new) bookshelf. However, I don't think I was specific enough. Due to the fact that the metal is already painted and finished, shouldn't that paint be removed first?

Good color
Good color but I didn't like this enamel, and I ended up using A paint and Primer spray instead. My problem was trying to spray the enamel over a primer to begin with. It didn't work and bubbled up and started cracking every where, really looked bad. Maybe that was on me because I used to different sprays, I don't know. But this didn't work for me.

When applying Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Protective Enamel Spray Paint over a new paint or primer application, it is essential that you are checking the recoat time for that paint or primer. Most of our sprays need to be recoated within 1 hour or after 48 hours. If you sand before applying a new coat, we recommend waiting another 48 hours. This is done to prevent wrinkling, which sounds like what you experienced.

Protection
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to paint over signs to reduce their wear and tear. I like to decorate my yard with garden stuff and they always tarnish, rust and the color fades. I sprayed them all with this and so far so good. It sprayed evenly and was effortless.
