Yes you can but always recommend to first prep or address the rust first. Lightly sand and apply a rust reformer type product first.

Black /and white only for now most common colors I don’t think they will waste time on other colors as it’s not made for detailed work mostly to prevent rust . But if they did it would most likely be equipment yellow.

After prep work, refinished my garage doors using this paint. The 10" wide spray pattern made quick work of the job and they turned out great. The company should consider the nozzle for the rest of their paints. Much cleaner overlap.

Don't buy this...its a waste of money and makes a mess of your project. Waited almost 3 days to second coat and still crinkled first coat. There explanation for this happening and recoat times dont make sense.

Let's see what we can figure out! Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Turbo Spray Paint can be recoated in under 1 hour or after 48 hours, do not sand before recoating. Paint dries from the top down, recoating after 1 hour or before 48 hours (longer at cooler temperatures) may result in the solvent in the new coat dissolving the film (skin) that has formed, causing wrinkling. For best results, apply 2 or more light coats a few minutes apart.

Crazing paint reacts to itself
This paint ended up reacting to itself. I followed the instructions on the can as to flash time etc and was in a dry environment, not too cold. The paint wrinkled up between 2nd and 3rd coats and I’ll have to strip it again. Last time it reacted to a primer and cracked.

That is not what we like to hear! Wrinkling is caused by recoating when the previous coat has just begun to dry, but has not yet dried enough to prevent the solvents in the next coat from penetrating into it, causing this crinkling reaction. To prevent wrinkling, it is necessary to apply multiple coats within 1 hour of one another, usually waiting 15 minutes between coats works well. Once the paint has dried for an hour, you must wait a minimum of 48 hours before applying the next coat, or the paint may wrinkle. If wrinkling has occurred, the surface may be repaired by sanding the surface smooth using 220 grit sandpaper. Sanding exposes drying paint, so be sure to wait at least 24 hours after sanding before applying the next coat. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2 Rustoleum

Quick Review: Ideal for working on a large surface areas due to the width of the spray, I would not recommend for items less than 5" high. More Indepth review: I see why this is the turbo edition, due to the nozzle the spray covers a large area at once. From about 6" away it covered 7.5" on one pass. I used this initially on a small piece of MDF, that was a mistake. It was the size of a panel that I am using for another project and I felt like I wasted a lot of paint since the spray is so wide. With this spray I could have sprayed another piece of similar size at the same time. I would not recommend this for small items , less than 5" high. I am currently using this on a larger surface 24" x 20" and this is great for a project of that size. This is more for larger surface areas, you can use it for smaller areas but then you would just waste a lot of paint. After one coat on my MDF I was happy with the shine that this provided.

This spray paint can and paint are great! It works really well and fast for covering large areas (don't try small or detail work with it). The paint comes out of the can very fast, in a nice wide fan, the can says up to 10 inches but it will actually go even wider than that. You do have to be careful how close you are and move along quite quickly, but that is the whole point is it not? The paint comes out nice and evenly and is easy to spray. The can at 24 ounces and about 14 inches long is a little unwieldy but not at all uncontrollable. The paint seems to be the same that comes in the 2x ultra cover cans and is my favorite paint for durability and one coat coverage. The only fault I can find is that it would be nice if you could turn the spray fan vertical as well as horizontal. I painted a 5x8 trailer with just 2 cans and it only took about 15 minutes. All in all a great product that does exactly what it claims to do, cover large areas fast.

Woah. Huge can. Rust-Oleum is always my go-to when it comes to spray paint. This cans are the longest I've ever seen. Just to clarify, this does not come with SIX cans. This comes with 2 cans that seem to amount to six cans of spray paint. The turbo high output tip is nice for larger projects. Black sheen is Glossly like expected. Just similar quality to any other Rust-Oleum spray paint.

Rust-oleum brand spray paints are always my first choice. Usually it is their 15 oz professional grade cans. Since I have a rather large surface to cover (tractor front-end loader bucket), I decided to try this new, very tall 24 oz can from this manufacturer. One sample spray assured me this is meant for larger surfaces, not for tiny ones. Discovered one nozzle had come off during shipping so my advice is to check the nozzle while in the store.

Rust-Oleum Stops Rust 24-ounce Turbo Spray System Gloss Black Spray Paint. The 24-ounce can is impressive by itself. See the photo next to a 12-ounce can.The innovative Turbo Spray System works so much faster because the system sprays a larger area. You will be able to paint large objects in less time because of the powerful spray. A great feature of the Rust-Oleum brand is the trusted protection reputation. Designed to prevent damage to metal surfaces including rust and corrosion, also works great to protect other exterior surfaces from the elements including wood, concrete and masonry. I used for my first try on a wrought iron bench to protect for the upcoming winter months. The paint went on easily with the high output tip and dried fast. I didn’t need a second coat but if you do you can recoat within one hour.

The Rust-Oleum 24oz. Turbo Spray System gloss black spray paint is great for painting larger things with its large spray pattern. This large spray can covers up to 20 sq.ft. of area. This paint can be used on other materials such as wood and concrete. I have used Rust-Oleum paint for many years and have had great success. This paint dries to the touch in about 2hrs. and you can recoat within 1hr. or after 48hrs. Very nice gloss finish.
