Not for use on painted surfaces. It causes the paint to bubble and crack and basically come off. But it does seem to seal well.

Make sure your surface is totally moisture free before painting and cut tape out, don't pull. Trial and error plus a total lack of patience led me to that discovery. You can walk on the surface. I used it for a half dry/half wet duck pond and it seems to be holding up well with my weight, my husband's weight and the duck's claws have not even affected it. I'll be using this for all his habitats.

PART 2 bcuz of limited characters allowed
....So, after leaving all windows open, and a huge floor fan on, the fumes dissipated. Let cure for a week, then painted over with Zinsser water-tite paint. Now we have a mildew free basement. It's pricey, so took off 1 star.

Omg, does this STINK. We had persistent trickle seepage in our basement when heavy rains. We identified the trouble spots and applied. It's thick, like melted caramel. We had to leave our home overnight bcuz of the fumes. Fumes migrated thru house.

So far the product appears to be working well and...
So far the product appears to be working well and I haven't noticed any leaks. Only time will tell whether it holds up, but so far so good. If it does last a long time I would rate it excellent.
