Questions & Answers

Can these be used as a cooking surface for an outdoor oven, placing food directly on it?

Asked by: Laura
Simply, No. Too Porous. Get some Stone or Ceramic bricks, similar to what is used in an Open Hearth Brick Oven - You know those Brick Ovens they make Pizza In ? That is the surface you want for cooking on. It is important to note that these are designed for Baking - Not sure if you can cook, like burgers, steaks, hot dogs, etc. on them. I don't see why not. They are cheap enough to experiment with, so try it.
