Questions & Answers

You advertise the batteries as a two pack but the price is shown as $99 each. Is that $99 for the two pack or $99 for each battery???

confusing pricing
Asked by: banjogeorge
I got the twin pack for $99, meaning each twin pack is $99. For me it is a very good deal. Hopefully you already have the charger that came with your tool.

Does buying the single pk battery @ $44.97 Ea. equate to better deal than the 2pk for $99.00 ??????

Asked by: WaterMan
A single Ryobi 1+ lists for $54.00 ($108.00/2) verse two pack for $99.00. If you can find a single for $44.97 buy 2 for $89.94 and save $10.00.

These lithium batteries gave my old Ryobi drill, vacuum, and circular saw a new life. The charge level lights are an added convenience. I know how much battery I have left, instead of finding out when the tools stop.

I purchased the Battery operated chain saw which included a battery and charger. I then a few weeks later purchased a total of 4 batteries and another charger. I then purchased a 3/8 driver. I had a problem with a battery so I return to Home Depot with the battery and they tell me to exchange the battery with them and all is well. Shocker I have a problem with another battery which I believe is from the dual pak purchase and I once again return to home depot and they take both batteries back and I get new batteries once again no charge. I love this they back their product. Granted all this has happened since last Oct 2016 up to Jan 2017. I work with 3 batteries this weekend Aug 2017 and 3 batteries will not take a charge granted I took good care of them to insure I did not abuse or over charge them. So off I go to Home Depot Keller TX and I learn with a receipt that I have to go to a Tool Rental Store Home Depot to exchange batteries. Off to N. Fort Worth Home Depot and per management sorry you drove to us the Keller Store should have told you only Ryobi Warranty can help no exchange can happen in store. This is a new policy I am told and even customer service lady's inform me they get a lot of these batteries back. Now I have a 3 year warranty and all should be good right, wrong. Warranty checks serial numbers with my batteries and when Home Depot exchanged my Batteries in one of the bad ones they did not tell me I had to return the chain saw as well so battery doesn't match so warranty voided good luck no help. But hey they will exchange the dual pak batteries I bought because I have a receipt dated Jan. 2017 but wait even better they check their stock and they are back ordered and no idea when they will get some in to replace my warranty batteries check back with them in 2 weeks. Really back ordered from the Company. Yes they have them in the local store but I can not get those I have to buy those and they can reimburse me once they receive approval upon my receipt to the warranty company. Really buy more of these and hope they will pay me back for something I already bought. I have decided I will not purchase any other item from this Company nor from Home Depot. I know neither one cares about my business so welcome to free market. I just want anyone who cares to read this beware of your purchase. Thanks Brian Brown

I purchased my Ryobi drill set a little over 2 years ago and the fact that I had to replace the batteries via a purchase after such a short period is very disappointing. The original batteries in my opinion should have lasted longer than a couple of years and the fact that Home Depot would not help me return the batteries to see why they failed was a very disenchanting event. As for as performance when the batteries function, I would rate the batteries good but because the batteries have a life span less than 3 years. I rate the batteries fair to poor. Sincerely, AG Jacksonville

The batteries stay in top form due to the multi-charger wall unit in the garage. We keep our batteries stored there so they are always ready for action. Grab a battery, grab the tool, get done. We have numerous ryobi cordless tools for lawn and shop. Each one came with a battery, so we now have about a dozen. Over the six years we've been using these, only one has failed, so I was delighted to see these new lith-ion models with power-indicator os sale. Now we have a baker's dozen, and they're all fine.

I own many of the Ryobi 18+ tool set, but still have an issue with the batteries. I've owned at least 10 of this particular battery, and four of them have died in a matter of months. I have two right now that are dead, and will not charge, but it's such a pain to get them exchanged, that I haven't bothered to try. No idea why the batteries fail. I do not abuse them, use the right charger, and they just stop charging. I bought 4 more a few weeks ago, and do not know what to expect as far as battery life go. This is a disappointment as I really, really like the tool set, having sold my Makita cordless tools and replaced them with the Ryobi 18+ tools. Use to be able to get the batteries exchanged at Home Depot, now you have to call an 800 number. Pain in the fanny...

P107. may be nice to see battery life left, but these dont last as long as the original 18 volt some years back. i slowly went to this type, and within less then a year, and hardly any use, i now have 5 out of 8 that are worthless, wont charge even hold a charge. these 5 look like brand new and are junk, i would never buy this battery again. your better sticking with the 1st silver and black original 18 v lithium

Though I invested in the Lithium charger, it failed to charge the batteries after a few uses. When I complained to Ryobi, the said that they cannot do anything to help me. They claimed that I needed a receipt or they wouldn't back up their product. Obviously, nobody is going to assume that batteries won't last and save a receipt for such a small amount. Don't waste your money.
