Questions & Answers

Would I be able to build a deck with this gun?

Asked by: MG
Would this gun work for nailing a tongue and grove ceiling under my patio cover? It would be going through 1 inch thick tongue and grove pine wood and it would be attached to the pine beams holding up the patio roof.

Is this tool good for installing quarter round?

Asked by: Buzz
Yes, it's perfect for that. You will probably have to caulk the holes a bit and touch up paint. If it's a dark colored quarter round, you may be able to get away with just shooting it down.

does it come with the battery & charger? if not how much are they

Asked by: Doglover
Ryobi and other companies always improve battery technolology. I bought this a couple years ago and batteries then didn't have LED gauges. Now they do. As long as they make them ONE+, it'll work. I hope Ryobi never changes the designs of the battery where we'd have to get all new tools and chargers

I bought my Ryobi model P320 three years ago used it once and set it aside. I tried to use it tonight, and it will not fire a nail. After a few minutes of repeatedly trying, the LED lights flash which means there is a problem with it. I called Home Depot. They gave me the phone number of Ryobi as one option, and the other option is they can send it out to Ryobi for repair. I paid close to 150 dollars for this tool. Never again.

Slight delay between trigger pull and dispensing of a nail. Don't care for the feature where if sensor is in position to long the nailer times out. You have to lift it and place again to fire a nail.

Infact myself and my partner have two sets of cordless Ryobi tools and I have no problem with any of them with the exception of the nailer. We do not use the nailer daily and probably only on the average of one time per week. I purchased a new Ryobi nailer about a year and ahalf ago. During the first 12 months it quit working twice and I took it to a certified repair shop and it was fixed under warranty. After the third time during the first 12 months I had had enough and I took it back to Home Depot and the manager (who sees me a couple times a week) replaced my nailer with a new one. He did state that since it was covered only on the original warranty that I only had a couple weeks of warranty remaining. Well after about 2 months the second nailer stopped working as well. As loyal as I have been to Ryobi tools I will look for a different brand for my next nailer.
