Is it ok to use this to cut small bricks (use on houses) and small small veneer stones? If so, what is the recommended blade?
Asked by: Tooks
My Best Answer is Not Really. I did use a 12" Sliding Miter saw once to cut a bunch of patio pavers for a patio job I had. I did find a 12" diamond blade for it and It did cut the pavers but it was VERY dusty and I have the feeling that it wasnt very good for my 12" Saw. Bricks and pavers are best cut with either a wet/tile style saw (that has the capabilty), or a Concrete saw (Partner Saw). A wet saw will cut much cleaner, easier and faster than this. However - If you could find a 10" diamond blade (Im not sure If one is available), you could use this saw for a very small job if you had to- But I wouldnt expect much.

Hi, Do you need two batteries to operate this saw or just one will do?
Asked by: Tooks
Two One+ batteries are required to operate the miter saw. One battery will not activate the saw..

Asked by: vjon1068
Yes, a 40T blade is included. I would consider it a utility class blade. A high quality 60T would be recommended for trim work.

Is it possible to add a 12in blade to this saw?

Asked by: MDB
Absolutely not. It is a 10" saw. If the blade fit the housing, which it won't, the geometry wouldn't be right in the base.

18-Volt ONE+ONE Cordless Brushless 10 in. Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw (Tool-Only) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 76.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this saw! Ryobi scored big with this one Plenty of power, I have it mounted to the Ryobi miter saw stand. Ran all day on two 4ah batteries replacing rotted roof decking and fascia board. easy set up was square right out if the box. Comes with a 40 tooth general purpose blade that I will be replacing with a Diablo precision blade soon. I was so happy with this that my son in law inherited my 10" electric Ryobi miter saw. I definitely recommend this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best yet Ryobi keeps upping the anti. Once again they hit a homerun. I know a lot of other tool makers have "new and improved" batteries and change the battery platform and even roybi has a new 40v setup and that made me nervous a bit when I saw that come out, but I think this shows the 18v are not going anywhere and I'm glad of that. This works on two batteries generating 36v and I dont need a new setup (I have a lot tied up in 18v) I am not intrerested in starting over with a whole new platform I have the old blue ryobi miter non sliding saw and it still works fine for small jobs and uses the same battery as this after about 15 years. However this is a master piece, the blade was square and true right out of the box and the run time with 2, 4ah batteries was longer than I needed for a pretty large trim job, the brushless motors takes some getting used to they start a little slower and sound a little different but the run time is amazing. Before I got this one I had seen some complaints about having to put this together but I was running in about 15 minutes after opening the box, the package was nice and secure for shipping because my local store was sold out temporarily this was a plus because even though home Depot would have taken care of any damage I didn't want the hassle. I absolutely recommend this saw to anyone needing a high quality tool.

Had to make a couple of adjustments out of the box but other than that it is a great value tool. Plenty of power, a blade brake (which the non-slider doesn't have), very accurate. I haven't had to change batteries yet but after 50 or so cuts they're still at 3 lights so they'll go a long way. Very satisfied!

Very awkward. Saw made for right handed person. Not Returning though. Going to fix myself and delete the safety switch. This machine is a beast!!! Lasts a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easily replaces a traditional saw I wish this tool could have existed years ago when I think of all the places I have needed to cut some boards where power was not easily accessible. This saw replaced my 12" beast dewalt saw. This is definitely not as powerful, however, I put it to the test right away and figured a scrap piece of 4x6 I had around would slow it down... Nope. Cut right through it no problem. Even the laser was perfect right out of the box. I'll put a better blade on it in time but to be honest the one mounted to it is just fine as well. Seems to go forever and I'm only using dinky 2ah batteries not the hi capacity they recommend. Great job Ryobi. Now where's that 36v table saw. No complaints.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not much different than a corded saw Not that long ago the first cordless saws that came out needed smaller than normal batteries. Now here we are with a 10" sliding miter saw that runs on cordless batteries. The Technology around batteries and cordless tools has come a long way. This R3650B cordless sliding miter saw isn't that much different than the 15 Amp 10" Sliding Miter Saw (TSS102L). Can do pretty much the same things but has a slow max blade speed of 4,000 RPM compared to 4,800 RPM of the corded version and it seems the blade takes just a little longer to get up to full speed. Those aren't big compromises for people who can really benefit from having a cordless miter saw of this size. It's not just the convenience of being to work on jobsites without power, without having to bring a generator, but also the safety of being able to set up wherever you want without having to run extension cords which could be a trip, shock or fire hazard. It's a big saw that weighs about 34lbs but the built in handle makes it relatively easy to carry. You can even padlock the trigger for extra safety and security. It can cut 2x lumber up to 2x12's, plywood up to 12" wide and can't think of any trim it wouldn't be able to handle depending on how you choose to cut it. If you cut crown moulding against the fence (which is how I do it to avoid all those odd miter and bevel angles) you can only cut trim up to 5-1/4" tall. I had no problem cutting material up to 3" thick including 2x3's stacked on top of each other. The miter angle is easy to adjust with detents for 0, 15, 22.5, 31.6 and 45 degrees. You can set the angle anywhere you want but those angles are common for trim. The bevel can be adjusted up to 45 degrees on either side but you'll need to remove the sliding fence extension on the right side to bevel towards the right. No detents on the bevel just a locking pin to get to 0 degrees. Bevel gauge is clearly marked and has markings for 0, 15, 22.5, 33.9 and 45 degrees. You can make the standard adjustments to make sure the blade is square to the miter fence, pivot stop adjustments as well as adjusting the laser guide left or right. Couple of things that bug me though... I wish they would have included the extensions for the base like they do on the corded version. It's probably not worth buying them and putting that money instead towards a miter saw stand like the Ryobi A18MS01G which will work with this saw. The other feature I wish it had was hybrid technology. Ryobi is one of the few cordless tool companies that has hybrid tools that can run off of batteries or plugged into an outlet. In my opinion consumers would really benefit if this tool had a hybrid option. Even more so than the smaller cordless miter saws. Hopefully they come up with an adapter that allows it to be used plugged in as well. While everything adjusts, and operates well and is well built you can feel the difference between this tool and similar sliding miter saws that cost much more. This will get the job done well and is sturdy enough to last a long time. Quality would be around a 4 but value would be a 5 at this price. I'd rate it closer to a 4 because of those issues, the missing extensions and the need to use two batteries when others can use 1 and the location the batteries are inserted makes me lean more twoards 4. Still, for the price, even with adjusting for the price of 2 batteries, you are saving a decent amount compared to other similar saws. Once properly adjusted and set up it will do the same job. Those were a couple of minor wishes I had but other than that the saw works exceptionally well and has no probelms cutting but for trim and other finish work you might want to get a finer tooth blade. Even though this tool is technically a 36V tool I like that they decided to use 2 batteries instead of create a new battery so you can use your current supply of One+ batteries.

Bought it because I do a lot of mission work where I don't always have who had Electricity . 2 batteries lasted most of the day I'm building a 45' long wheelchair ramp with 3 guys using it off and on all day long.
