What a piece of crap. Purchase something else.
I purchased the S&K purple martin house about 6 months ago, along with the required pole, to put together and set out now. Where to begin? The directions were sketchy and difficult to follow (for an engineer). The cheap corrugated plastic dividers have flimsy tabs that tend to bend and deform rather than go into the slots, after deforming they will no longer lock into the corresponding slots. However, by far the biggest problem was that one of the floors was warped, which ensured that the house would not lock together(photos attached). There is no hope of assembling this bird house properly, and the season has now started so we will miss the purple martins this year. Very disappointed that S&K calls this the “best purple martin house”.

Reasons you should not purchase this product! 1. The picture on the Home Depot site is NOT what S&K ships out to the customer! 2. The house only has "4" (four) perches on one side, no perches or holes on top. 3. This product uses "ONLY" the one pole listed in the description. 4. EXTREMELY poor construction, kits only worth $20-$25 dollars, if even that much. My granddaughters Barbie Doll house is of better construction! 5. The pole and house are NOT shipped together (as you might think)

This is the second house we’ve purchased - last 6 years ago. It’s a popular house and is usually full in season. The first held up well to the elements.

      Looks aren’t everything!
Simply, not worth the price unless you like paying that price for flimsy plastic. I does look nice. Everything is plastic; inside and out, even the screws that come with it. Im supprised it didn’t come with zip-ties to actually hold it together. The screws are worthless. If you buy this product, buy duct tape or metal small metal screws to hold it together.

Well, lets just say that the house is extremely light. Its amazingly designed, but I just can't see it holding up to any kind of weather. You're supposed to lower the house in high winds, which would be weekly where I live. The house is made from a soft flexible plastic on the outside, with thin corrugated plastic (coroplast?) on the inside. The entire thing is held together with those nasty little plastic fasteners used to attach wheel wells and underhood insulation on modern cars. The instructions are a bit weak, with poor photos printed on newspaper stock. In short, the engineering of the house is impressive, but the construction is flimsy.

shoddy materials, would not assemble with parts supplied. ...bought stainless steel nuts and bolts so it would stay together, glue would not work. Gaping hole in roof unless you buy the special pole, which is extra. Worst purchase I can remember making. Home Depot should do itself a favor and discontinue product. Does your name a disservice.
