Rug pads will guarantee the rug will not slip but also add more depth if needed. If you plan to put this rug on top of carpeting, then we highly recommend using a rug pad to prevent bunching and creases.

Hello, generally, new Safavieh rugs will emit an odor. This odor is likely caused by the packaging material, dyes, fiber yarns, and or backing.
