Noticeably lower quality
I’ve used polymeric sand for years to help prevent weeds in my dry-laid blue stone walkway and in between my EP Henry patio pavers. I didn’t think there was a difference in quality between brands, but boy was I wrong! This Sakrete product is by far the worst that I’ve ever used! It appears to have some kind of aggregate mixed in with the polymeric sand, which results in a rather messy, low quality-looking finish. You also have to be very careful wetting it, since it gives off a white haze that can stain your stone. I wonder what’s going to happen when it rains?! Save yourself! Spend the extra money and go with a No Haze polymeric sand. I found some at our local lumber store.

Due to age and mold intrusion, I just stripped my patio pavers; removed all previous polymeric sand, bleached, and pressure washed. The pavers came out looking like new. I bought this product because I used an earlier version, 12 years ago, with great success. Great installation. Great set. Great color. Held up for 12 years and could have gone longer except for the mold. This new stuff? Not so much. The polymeric sand worked like it should and its solid. But the color? Nope.
This says its "brown" on the website. The top of the package is brown - the color I wanted. The label on the package is marked "brown". It is NOT brown. This is gray. Its not even a version of brown. Somebody may have waved their hand over it one day and said, "You are brown.", but nope. Its not.
And guess what? Its installed and its set. No going back now..... Thanks Sakrete!

Do NOT use this product on a red brick patio. Even though there is no warning about doing so, and the website features a brick patio, the product leaves a hard white film over the bricks that I could not remove even with a neighbor's power washer. I will now have to spend several times the cost of the product to get the film professionally removed. There needs to be a warning!

One rain strom it washes right out
I follow the instruction and set it and let dry for a almost two weeks without any rain. It feels hard and set. After one heavy downpour, you can see it starting to wash it right out. No I have to redo the project with another brand.

Worked great
This product worked perfect. Some advice - put it down in small portions at a time, do not dump a bunch of sand and push it all around, you will loose the Polymeric part into the air. Use a blower and lightly blow off the remaining dust after sweeping. Apply water sparingly, no need to over-saturate.

Love this stuff!
Very easy to use and hardens quickly. I used a 2 inch paintbrush to brush it into place, then a larger one to brush off the flagstones before setting it with the hose. The buckets did about 6 to 8 stones. Will use for all of my projects.

Works as advertised
I had concerns based upon a few of the reviews I read. I used this on joints 1/8 to 1/4. It was easy to apply, I had to hand pick up some of the larger grains that occasionally clogged my smaller spaces prior to watering. It set rock hard and I am impressed. It set harder over time.

The sand was swept into the crevices between the bricks and wetted down. It dried and held the bricks together like grout. I’m glad I got this product.
