About This Product

SANSI grow bulbs come with an optical lens, so the light is evenly distributed. There is no need to use lamp shade. Unlike other brand's grow lights which are composed of red chips and blue chips, SANSI mixes 400-780nm all wavelengths in every LED chip. This advanced optical structure ensures more uniform light distribution and more proper spectrum proportion---just like natural white sunlight.

You will not be disappointed with these LED grow lights. They are the latest technology in grow lights, replacing the old fashion incandescent and fluorescent bulbs. This bulb burns 24 watts of energy, so it is much more energy efficient than the old incandescent and fluorescent bulbs. In the specifications, this is a full spectrum bulb. As is emits the colors of visible light in the proper wavelengths that plants require to grow. All this while shining at a bright white light. Some of the first technology LED grow lights used red, white and blue LED chips to emit the color spectrum. This bulb does it in the single LED chip. I tested this bulb with my Quantadose UVA- UVB- UVC Test card to see if it edited any UV-A light as so many fluorescent bulbs do. The Quantadose Card is used to test the effectiveness of a UV-C germicidal bulb, as the pandemic has brought so many foes to the market. It also measures the intensity of UVA and UVB light. This bulb emitted no usable UV light that it could measure. This is a good thing as plant really do not need UV light to grow. They only need the proper colors of light. This bulb uses circular COB LED chips as compared to the little square cheap SMD LED chips everyone is used to seeing. When turned on, it is almost too bright to look at. I can only look at for a second or two before it hurts my eyes it’s so bright. A good thing !! The bulb weighs in at only 288 grams, or about 9.9 ounces, so I bought one of the metal 5 inch Clamp Lights at The Home Depot and just clamp it to the back of a chair for my setup. Ever after hours of running the bulb, the metal clamp light is still just warm to the touch. Hardly any heat output with this bulb. My orchids love it. And after 2 days of using this bulb on them, one of the flowers opened. I still have one more to open up. In a few days, I plan on using this bulb for my tomato and pepper seeds for the victory garden this summer. Sansi makes some great, efficient grow lights !!

I measured the power consumption with my power meter and it measured in at 23.3 watts. The light measures 4-1/2 inches in diameter and 5-1/4 inches in overall length with the tape measure that I have. This design is different than most of the rest of the LED lamps that I have in that the light is open to the inside through holes in the white plastic exterior. Most of the other LED lights that I have are completely sealed all of the way around making them more sturdy. Also, the wording on the box that it came in says “Not for use with closed luminaires!”

I wanted my plants to stay up late and watch TV. It turns out they want to work overtime instead. You can keep your plants alive in a greenhouse over the winter. They will stay alive, but they won't thrive. Plants use the sun to know what they are supposed to be doing. Early in the season with long sunny days plants know it is time to grow. They grow branches and leaves, become healthy and full. This is called the vegatative phase. Then when days get a little shorter they know it's time to make flowers, then fruit, then seeds. This is the flowering stage. They make seeds as winter is coming because it is in their DNA to propagate the species. So I put this light in my greenhouse hoping my plants will be forced into a vegetative state from the 6 or so hours of light that I am giving them after the sun goes down. I needed a lamp to put this bulb in. I took apart an unused lamp that is in a closet to salvage the cord, plug, and lamp socket. I plugged it into a lamp timer I used to use to leave a light on during vacations. Then I hung it from the ceiling of the greenhouse using the lamp cord to adjust the grow light higher and lower. It's lighting up a tangerine tree and some herbs. It remains to be seen if the yellow leaves on the tangerine tree will green up. The light is bright and does not get overly hot. Besides supplementing the light in a greenhouse these lights can be used for indoor growing. Nice light, now I'll wait for results.

The 24-Watt 1830 Lumens A21 Full Spectrum Hydroponic LED Grow Light Bulb from SANSI looks like it came from NASA. But all I can say is that my wife's plant seem to love it. Although we have not been using the light for very long. The plants just seem to be happy. The bulb puts out a great deal of light. And installed into our in ceiling flood light socket with no problem. I was a little afraid that it would produce a lot of heat. But that was not a problem at all. Time will tell. But I bereave that it will certainly do a great job. Plants happy. Mamma's happy.

This is a grow light. It has a full spectrum light going on all the time. You have to know what you need: seedlings, or flower, growth, etc. but to each his or her own. Red light is needed for photosynthesis; blue light is needed for growth and shape. If you have some sun coming into a room, then a red/blue bulb or switching bulb is good. However, if you have a basement or room with no sunlight, definitely go full-spectrum. Full spectrum bulbs are where everyone is heading. They don't cost that much to operate and they appear to be a bright white light but the red and green and blue spectrums are in there. It is very light weight and clean-looking. I have it plugged into a smart plug so the light is on 12 hours daily from 7 pm to 7 am for my plants I am overwintering in my heater room (where there are no windows). It is easy to use-just screw into an electric socket and turn on and off. I think the price is competitive and these types of grow bulbs will be in use for years. After the initial investment and setup, you have your setup. I like the light; it is bright. It seems to cover enough area for a couple of hanging baskets and a few potted medium sized plants. It really is quite simple to get this bulb, set it up on a smart plug, keep it on for 12 hours, and by spring, you can amaze everyone with your winter-overed plants back on your deck. I wish these had been around years ago. Easy to use, economical, and effective, go get yourselves some and have fund with in-door gardening.

This is very innovative designed, but I have some concerns. There are exposed electronic components and an exposed printed circuit board inside the light. I am concerned that someone might accidentally get water in side of the light with a water hose while cleaning or while playing in the yard which might cause electricity to be conducted from the light to a person. I am concerned that the exposed electronics will corrode. All of the other LED lights that I have in this form factor are totally sealed all of the way around. Since this light is open to the inside, I am concerned about bugs making their nests inside of the light. On the positive side of things, the light output has a very smooth uniform field.

Well, it's quite an efficient grow light, it runs coolly and the new growth from my Scheffiera Arboricola speeded up, in the time frame to this review.I grow them tall 5 ` 7 feet and I didn't see any lower plant leaf loss. I may buy two more, to replace that 46" fixture I bought from you, earlier this year.I took a "raised 2X4' flower bed and turned it into a indoor grow booth, with your help.
