Very good illumination.

No problems so far after a couple of weeks. Lights are bright and motion detection is sensitive. The unit does not activate during the daytime. Can't remember if that feature was listed with the product, but it is one I wanted, so no problem. Only issue I had was that as delivered, the unit must be installed on a vertical surface because the light stalks will only rotate 180 degrees. This meant the unit could not be positioned on a horizontal mount under an eave where I needed it. However, by removing the thin plastic cover in the mount, it is possible to loosen a large nut holding each stalk in place and move the stalk past a lug to change the orientation to the other side. This was not mentioned in the limited installation instructions.

Easiest motion detection lamp I have ever installed. The installation was done in less than 10 minutes. This item comes with all the necessary hardware and instructions. It's a light weight item that packs a bright cool white color. Fully adjustable, looks great and of course it's LED so it doesn't cost a lot to have on. Can also be used as a dusk to dawn light.

If you are looking for a very bight light with a built in motion sensor then you should seriously check out the SANSI 30-Watt 3400 Lumens 180-Degree White Motion Activated Outdoor Integrated LED 5000K Waterproof Flood Light. The light has an integrated motion sensor and the all plastic housing is not going to rust anytime soon. The included mounting hardware appears to be all stainless steel so should hold up to the elements. The including mounting hardware also makes it easy to install., One thing I am not sure of , the light does not say waterproof ( as in from rain not submerged) on the back of the light but everything about the built sure makes it look like direct rain would be not problem. The LED lights are all encased, etc.

This LED security light is awesome. It was very easy to install. It came with the necessary bracket to attach to a electric fixture box. The instructions included are very detailed and make it very easy to set up. Make sure you read the part of how to loosen the lights to adjust them to the position you want, they may seem difficult to move but if you read the directions it’s very easy. The lights are a nice compact size but VERY bright. The light/motion sensor works great.

SUMMARY: A VERY BRIGHT FLOOD LIGHT BACKGROUND: We had a motion activated light on our back porch to light our back patio. It functioned well but wasn’t bright enough. The chance to evaluate the brighter SANSI light was a welcomed opportunity. FIT AND FINISH: The unit is constructed of white plastic which has an acceptable appearance. It is less aesthetic than similar lights, almost architectural. The light elements are arranged in two arrays with their own protective shrouds. The open slotted design of the shrouds may be an issue as we have birds that find the motion lights great for nesting. FEATURES: From the Home Depot page, with my comments as appropriate. • Compared with other security lights, SANSI LED security motion activated light can be rated at 3400 Lumens just with 30-Watt, which is far brighter to provide security for your home or business accommodations. You could cut down your electricity bill by up to 88% by replacing 250-Watt incandescent bulb with 30-Watt SANSI LED light. The sensing angle and coverage can up to 180° and max 50 ft. • High performance: 2 ultra-bright LED flood light heads with 8 LED bulbs (pixel heat sink), produce up to 3400 Lumens high brightness clear white light with only 30-Watt, provides efficient lighting for your exterior living environment and adds extra safety for your home. o These lights are BRIGHT. Glaringly bright. They provide the amount of light we wanted for the patio. But there are no diffusers over the LED elements so there is a considerable glare. At night it is uncomfortable to look in the direction of the light. • Auto on and off: lights automatically turn on when motion is detected, auto-off after pre- determined time when no further motion is detected o The light has a sensitivity adjustment which allowed me to tune performance to our area. Our other motion lights we purchased in the last few years had a quick connect mounting plate that allowed you to wire the plate, then push the light on to the connector. This light is more old-school. You must support the light while making the electrical connections. I used Wago lever lock connectors so make the electrical connection quicker. But once installed all that is irrelevant. • Light heads and photocell sensor are also easy to adjust for enlarging sensing range o The adjustments for sensitivity and duration are under the sensor block and operate like many other motion lights. • Long lifespan: 2,5000 hours, 22.8 years (based on 3 hours/day) o One of my favorite things about modern LEDs. • Rugged hollow housing design, imported premium led chips and patented ceramic heat dissipation technology o As mentioned above the open housing design may be impractical due to bird nesting. OPERATION: Once installed and adjusted the light operates automatically depending on the settings. There is no instruction sheet available through the Home Depot Product page. A quick Google search did not yield a link to a downloadable instruction sheet, so put your hard copy in a safe place. If you flip the light switch a few times you can make the light stay on until daybreak, but it resets to timed operation after that, so there is no “Dusk to dawn” operating mode. SUMMARY: This light should meet our needs for the foreseeable future. PROS: Stylish, sturdy CONS: Old style installation method. Slotted shroud design

This is a really nice light. It looks a little goofy (well actually just the bulbs). The installation was very easy and it took a total of 15 minutes but I had to grab a ladder to change the light. It is really bright and the settings are easy to understand. My last light was not nearly as bright and it lights up most of my fenced area. I attached a few photos for reference.

A nice, bright light-easy enough to install (hard-wired) but the light/sensor control settings are a little difficult to see. The rubber seal actually seals better than what was on my old light. The lights are offset a bit on the outer sides to there is always some tilt to the field of light a bit into the center field of projected light. The lights seem to adjust only from the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions into the center. Each light is adjustable 45 degrees from outside to center. With each light arm extended out to the 9 and 3 o'clock position, you will have a 180 degree field of light. To see the sensor settings, I had to look under the light with my back to the wall because looking straight at the sensor while standing in front of the light, the writing is upside down. I took a picture to illustrate this. It is not a big thing and I was able to move from test mode to auto with a ten minute setting. The instructions state the lifetime of the light will be shortened if it repeatedly goes on and off so if you have any foliage or branches within the sensor's range to trigger the light during a windy period of time, be careful to adjust your sensor accordingly. There is a five second off at the power switch (if you have it on a switch) and back on to put the light into a dusk to dawn operation instead of sensor. You go back to sensor mode if you turn off for something like 30 seconds, then turn back on. When installing the light and turning it on for the first time, expect a few minutes of self-adjustment on the electronic controls. The light stays on for 1.5 to 2 minutes during this time but then goes into auto sensor mode. The instructions cover this model and at least another but the illustrations about possible light angle adjustments heavily favor the other model mentioned and not this model. In other words, you see the other model light arms illustrated as going in/out/up/down but not this model's arms. While I could be mistaken about the light arms of this model going only in/out, I do not think I am. Again, if no up/down tilt of light arms is not an issue for you, this is your light to get, install, and use. The fixture is surprisingly small and almost unnoticeable-something like five inches top to bottom and 11.25 left to right and a depth of 8.25 inches but it sure does throw the light out. This light is competitively priced with a five-year warranty. It looks nice, is actually unobtrusive. It does have a limited light angle; the lights do not swivel up or down - only out to inward or inward to out meeting at the center. 45 degrees each light. If this meets your needs, then this is your light. It makes all the sense in the world to replace older lighting because this light looks better, has more light, and is less expensive to operate.

I chose this flood light because I have a large back yard that butts up against a wooded area and I have all types of animals creeping up to my patio. This light puts out some serious brightness. I had an electrician install it and he had it up and shining in five to ten minutes. He even commented on the brightness and asked where I got it. The light was installed on the chimney so it could reach maximum range. It is easy to operate, There is a timer so you can set for maximum efficiency. Love this light

Lots of brilliant light from only 30 watts of electricity. This is a good quality, high output fixture, that comes fully assembled and ready to install. The claim of it being “waterproof” is made quite believable by the all plastic housing material and stainless steel mounting hardware – no rust here. Good instructions go a long way toward making the installation, as well as the subsequent sensitivity and range adjustments relatively easy. The level of illumination was definitely impressive when I first saw it triggered after dark.
