Johnson paste waw will fill and hide very fine scratches, but it won't hide dents or deeper scratches. At $7 for a can it is worth giving it a shot. When it comes to removing scratches I recommend Tibet Almond Stick. It is magic! You can google it!

I don't think it could harm anything. I have used it to lubricate wood screws before driving them into hardwood.

Hi. it's interesting that you ask because I use Johnson Paste Wax on Tung oil finish guitar necks that I make. The wax also works well with shellac, linseed oil and Tru-Oil. You can use a paper shop towel to remove the wax after polishing.

Yes, you can buy or rent a floor buffing machine. You will need to get the right buffing pad for your floor. See: https://multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/834033O/3m-floor-pad-wall-chart.pdf for the various buffing pads available from 3m. Competing brands have similar offerings. For general waxing and polishing, you can use a low-speed buffing pad.

I needed this wax to protect a guitar finger board while using super glue. It acts as a perfect barrier between the glue and the wood. Even if the glue cures you can gently scrape it off the wax layer with no problems. The fines can be a bit overwhelming though so use a fan to keep the air moving.

so many uses!
this is just about the only polish I use and it's the only polish I use on my table saw. Johnson Paste Wax not only keeps my cast iron table saw top super slick, it prevents rust and doesn't leave any residue on my projects as I am working on the saw. One can can last almost 2 years for me and that includes polishing several cast iron and aluminum work surfaces in my wood shop, but also furniture In the house. it's one of the best values on the market today. i will recommend it to anyone and I'm a life long customer.

Was looking for a good sealer for a live edge table I did recently. This paste worked really well. Dried hard and put a nice protection layer down over the oil finish. So far so good about 2 months in.

I used this to wax the top of my tablesaw and the underside of a crosscut sled. The results are as expected, the sled glides over the saw top.

Good product, great value
I bought this to wax my spinning wheel. It came in a bigger tin than I thought and it will definitely last for a long time. The wax has a strong gasoline-like smell so I would advise to use it outside. It does dissipate after a few hours, though. The wax is best used with warm, gloved hands to help melt the wax and to keep it from sticking to your hands afterward. Take it from me, you don't wanna use this bare handed. As for the shine it brings, it's very subtle but still noticeable on furniture. Feel free to bring on the elbow grease when buffing out the wax. It can be a pain but it leaves you with a sense of accomplishment in the end. I don't know how well it protects but I don't expose my wheel to the elements anyway.
