Answer This Question

A:  Hi kasey, the panel height of this sink measures 7.5", however, because of the handmade nature of our sinks this can vary slightly and we recommend creating this cutout using your specific sinks measurements.

          Retrofit apron sink
Beautiful sink. Would be helpful to have a video on install including support system and height of install in relationship to height of cabinet.

            Sink
The sink is definitely beautiful. The only problem is, it scratched immediately, without anything being dropped in the sink. Now I’m just afraid the black color won’t last.

Very happy once I figured out install. Here's how..
Couldn't find instructions for my application. Found some close, but not clear enough for this sink. First it said to install 2x4s along the inside for a ledge for the sink to rest on. Well in a 36 sink base that doesn't leave enough room for the sink to fit. Had to go with 1x4 or 6, I chose 1x 6 for more support. .780 down from the top edge puts the sink flush with the top of the cabinet. You will have to remove the center support on the front and also the horizontal support on the front. Had to lower the horizontal one .5 inch and had to take off .5 inch from the vertical front support also which led me to having to put a 90 degree bracket to the inside floor to hold it in place I kept the pocket screws on the top side of that piece. You will also have to rip a .5 inch off the bottom of the front doors and re locate the hinge location. All in all its not too bad. The hard part was finding out the .780 dimension. You can do it though.

Great product if you need a little "error room" when cutting a cabinet front to accomodate a farm sink. Most apron front sinks are stainless steel or very expensive. This one fit the bill for a white farm sink and was very reasonably priced. Still took us several hours to install trying to cut the cabinet just right to get the sink level but still a great option - especially when getting a finish carpenter to cut our new cabinet to fit was going to cost a fortune.

The sink arrived on the scheduled day. After unpacking there were some marks in the bowl area which I had to remove with a light abrasive cleaner. Installation was easy.

              BEAUTIFUL and perfect!!!
This sink is gorgeous!!! And what’s not to love about not needing new, custom cabinets for a farm house style sink? We had to make slight revisions to our existing cabinet but the best part for us was that we saved money by keeping our perfectly good cabinets. The sink is easy to keep clean but I’d highly recommend Sinkology’s cleaning products/polish as they really get the sink to shine after continuous use. I’d also recommend the grate for the bottom of the sink as this will possibly save a couple dishes from shattering if you drop them onto the very hard fireclay. We are so happy with this sink. What a great value.

Irregular size of sinks, be very careful
This sink was measured by home depot's contractor before they cut countertop. After countertop install, contractor had laid the sink in the space cut for it to ensure good fit. Perfect. He texted me at work to say the sink had huge crack in it. It was in perfect shape the day prior when we removed it from box, however i was not in the home when they unstalled, so i cannot prove they cracked it. Long story short, i had to get help to drag sink back to store, got an exchange with no problem. My plumber laid it in the space cut out for it and the fit was different. Exact same model and everything. I now have a space between the sink edge and the countertop edge (which had been measured to fit first sink and was perfect). Now i have to find a way to fill that space without it being conspicuous. I guess those sinks are slightly irregular in size, which is really an important issue if tops are cut to fit the sink So disappointed. The sink itself is beautiful and i love it!

Beautiful sink, complete lack of install info!
Love the sink itself - gorgeous, heavy duty. But were no instructions in the box other than a card saying to download an app called Bilt and look up the sink install instructions there. AH hour plus later of scouring the app, You Tube vidoes, Home Depot, Sinkology for install instructions for THIS sink (the GRACE quick undermount) still, absolutely no info to be found. We guesstimated and made up a version close to their generic video, which involved 2x4s and building a whole stand.
