SKYBELL is a Wi-Fi connected video integrated Door Bell that enables you to see and talk to whoever is at your door more securely by using your smart phone, tablet or computer. In order to increase the volume of the SkyBell's internal chime, please follow the steps below. 1. Open the SkyBell Mobile Application 2. On the "My Devices" page, click the Gear symbol located in the top right of the Device Avatar 3. Choose "Outdoor Chime" 4. Choose the desired volume level 5. After you have made your choice, you will notice that the word "Save," will change to blue 6. Click Save, and you will be taken back to the settings page 7. Test the volume level by pressing the button on the SkyBell. Thank you!

Open the Skybell app and on the left-hand side the gear icon which is the setting. Once you are inside the setting option go down to the motion detection and choose the level of sensitivity.

Can the device be stolen? How do you ascure that it isn’t unscrewed ?

It could be stolen. It's screwed on at the bottom with a regular flat head (although the angle is tough to get at). But at least you would know who stole it as it would record it all and send it to you :)

This video door bell works better than the base model Ring Video Door Bell. I say this because I've installed the Pro version and that one works much better than the base model. I bought the base model for my house, but quickly saw the shortcuts taken in order to bring the price to under $100 retail. It just doesn't work well. The Skybell is a much better camera than the Ring, including the Ring Pro. Truly HD day and night, which I can't say about the Ring cameras. It is reliable, it has work in temperatures of the 90s to as low as 15 degrees. The only thing that needs improving, and I am sure Skybell must know this and working on it, is the app. The Ring app is much better in that respect. Also the movement detection alert could be faster.

This product is easy to install and has a lot of great potential but quite honestly it's simply just not reliable. It's constantly fluctuating between being on and offline. At times the product will work great for 3 or 4 weeks at a time - then you become dependent on it and use it as a security camera, way to check on your packages/guests, or integrate it with your IFTTT as a motion detector that turns on lights and so on (smart things app or whatever platform you use). Then out of the blue it will stop working for days and weeks at a time. It's incredibly frustrating. Calling the customer support line is useless - after 15 minutes on hold, you're forced to leave a message. Each time I call I eventually get routed to an automated answering service. I leave a message, then they'll call me back 72 hours later but it will be in the middle of the day at an inconvenient time. I tried to setup a call back for the weekend and the agent just failed to ever call me back. These are their support hours: Mon-Fri: 7:30am to 4:30pm PST Sat: 8am to 2pm PST which is great if you live on the east coast or are retired in Santa Monica. Bottom line they have a lot of technical issues with the product and just can't seem to provide the right support. I have many smart home devices and I understand that you have to be patient and willing to play and baby these items but the SkyBell is just too much work and the customer service support is simply deplorable and not responsive for the price you're paying. In short, when the device works its great but the other 40-50% of the time it doesn't - it's simply a paperweight draining your time and energy trying to get in touch with someone at the SkyBell customer support or you personally trying to troubleshoot the device while resetting up your network and settings. My opinion after owning this thing for 15 months - look for other options in the same price range or spend your weekends performing soft resets waiting for a call back from the customer support team.

I should have taken the reviews a bit more serious. Once I received it, I had to then order a resistor since I do not have an existing wired doorbell. Minor, I ordered one through amazon. I followed specific power wiring diagrams to wire the resistor to the door bell and 12vac power. Eventually, I figured it out and had connection. Viewed it once then lost all connection. The skybell then flashed yellow rapidly, alternating with red/blue flashing. Following the diagram that came with the skybell, the red/blue flashing meant it was charging. The rapid yellow flashing said factor reset and to hold button until it rapidly flashed yellow (well, it was already flashing yellow). After numerous attempts to reset, rewire, and configure, I came to the conclusion, I am going to return it. Not sure if this is just a defected unit or all of them are just more of an annoyance than they are worth. FYI, the doorbell comes with nothing other than a screwdriver, drill bit and screws. You will need to supply your own wiring and or power supply. The 2 screws that wiring connects to are so very close, it seems as though the power wires are touching.

This SkyBell HD only took me 10-15 minutes to install. It was a pretty simple process. The HD video is amazing. The motion sensor is a great feature to track my kids coming in and out of the house. We recently setup our SkyBell HD to our Nest Camera in the babies room. SkyBell app is really easy to use as well. I highly recommend this product.

Work really well when I purchased this almost a year ago. All activity in my yard was recorded. However, with updates to the device, it no longer records activity in my yard. It doesn't even record the delivery people when they leave packages on my porch, unless they get really close to the doorbell. I think I'll give the Ring Video doorbell a try now.

I installed one on my home about three years ago. Picture quality is excellent and in living color. Interfaces perfectly with iPhone and iPad. Don’t have to pay for storage. Get an alert on phone when their is motion or someone rings door bell. Excellent distance vision. Works well in cold weather, as I live in Alaska and have had no problems. Highly recommended
