Arrived quickly and was exactly what I needed to replace a faulty battery in my Ryobi RM480e lawn mower. Replaced the one bad battery and runtime went from less than 10 minutes, to the gauge showing half empty after an hour of mowing.

Ordered 4 batteries, 2 arrived without a handle installed. This made the installation process difficult. Hope the quality of the battery is better than the quality of the assembly.

It's the exact battery I replaced in my Ryobi electric riding mower. The original 4 batteries in my mower lasted 3 full seasons, mowing about once a week. The last few mows last season, I could only get about half my yard complete, before the batteries died on me. The batteries are little pricey, especially when you have to replace 4 batteries in the mower, for over $600. Wish they would last 5 seasons. They did deliver the batteries for no delivery fee.

It is what it is. A non-serviceable deep cycle battery for the Ryobi Riding Mower. Mine lasted me about 2.5 years cutting 1.5 acres of a very steep yard. This is what I was told to expect as opposed to changing oil, gas, winter storage, and restart, etc. I should mention I do a reverse K turn at each length of yard when mowing so my lawn looks "manicured," and am sure this adversley effected my battery life Shipping was 1 week early, and installation of 4 batteries was easy. I took a cell phone pict before removing the older batteries and reinstalled the new ones as the old ones were assembled at the factory following the pre-disassembly Pict. 45 mins. Caution!!! You will probably need a safe and sturdy support for the sliding tray with the four batteries. It is heavy and awkward. I changed mine alone, and see no reason it isn't a one person job. I used scrap 2 by 6's stacked to the height of the tractor's slide (+/- a couple of inches) and never felt unsafe. My neighbor used an upside down milk crate, and I think that would be quite unsafe. Manufacturer recommends a professional lift, and that really is the only "safe" way to properly deal with that much weight. CJM

Here I thought that replacing all 4 batteries would bring the gauge up to 100% but instead it's only 70% fully charged ! I hope this of replacing batteries doesn't happen every yr. ?

I use in Ryobi electric riding mower
I use these in my Ryobi riding lawn mower and they are working good. However, do not depend on these being available at this price in the future if battery cost is of consideration for the purchase of a Ryobi electric riding lawn mower. They are available elseware at a much higher price...around $200.00 each plus shipping. Since these batteries weight about 50 pounds shipping for (4) replacement batteries would be very high. For HD to list these battery at this price is decitive because it has not been available from HD for many, many months and probably will never be available again at the posted price!

I have four of these batteries in my Ryobi RM480e mower. I regularly mow 8,000 sq. ft. of lawn with it and use less than ten percent of the charge. After eleven months, one of the batteries developed one or more failed cells and could not sustain any sort of load. It was replaced under warranty. The batteries have excellent value for the price and should last many years if properly cared for.
