A:  Nothing else is needed. A soft Closer would help for the door not to slam when closing.

    Nicely designed kit
The SLIDOR kit is a cleverly designed kid that any qualified person can put together and install. The metal parts are predrilled, notched and have all hardware to assemble. I must admit...for myself, I prefer the wood, but I am old fashioned and figured I'd have a go with these kits and it's a bit like a model kit. The included instructions are very thorough and if you follow it page for page, bit by bit, you should have successfully assembled a pocket door frame that can hold a 130 pound door panel. There are accessories that you can add to these door frames as well like soft closers, self closing mechanisms and jamb sets. It's challenging and rewarding all at the same time. The kits come a hard to open tube. I also must add, it would hugely more clever to make these kids fully adjustable for all size door panels in the event your significant other decides to change the door size on you. Plus, you can combine two kits to accommodate a double pocket door setup...just be sure you buy two of the same kits.

    Project Delayed
The project has been delayed due to project cost overruns and permitting issues but I wanted to review the progress so far with this pocket door. All materials are constructed from a heavy gauge stamped steel. Parts are pre-drilled for a quicker assembly. Very impressed that overhead glide unit is constructed with ball bearings. This will allow the installation of a heavier core door than. I was originally planning to use. Because this door will be going into a bathroom, this is a nice option.

    Nice!
We a building a house and have two rooms that we needed a door for. However, planning for the swing of an open door proved very challenging. Pocket doors are amazing! Not only do we not have to have room for the open swing, it moves quietly and easily out of the way. No way to slam this door! Be sure to work with your carpenter to ensure you get the right size for your opening and that the wall it will disappear into is built to fit. Once done, perfection!

    Perfect solution
Having a pocket door added in my master bath reno was non-negotiable, swing doors just take up way too much valuable space. I get why contractors who have been around for a long time hate them, they used to be flimsy and have issues, but this frame is heavy duty and I am sure would change a lot of their minds. It is rated for up to 130 lb so we can use solid wood instead of a hollow core to match the existing doors. As others have stated the parts themselves are not lettered but the (picture only) instructions are very thorough and I don't think I will have any issues assembling it myself. With its steel construction and 12 year warranty I have no doubt that this kit will deliver exactly what I hoped for. Now to get the contractor going so I can put it to use and share an "after" update.

    Excellent Contractor-grade product!
First of all - if you are not "heavy-duty" DIY-er - stay away from this product, as you will need someone with solid knowledge of framing, studs, leveling. Do yourself a favor - hire someone who knows or can figure out how to install it. We had our door to Master bedroom bathroom removed and taken apart to studs - swinging door was taking way too much room to open and close. Timing was perfect for this project. Assembly of the frame took about 30 minutes max. Most importantly - pay attention to dimensions listed in the manual "before" installation. We had to make a small hack (to reduce width), but it was not a big deal. All in all - about 3 hours in total and it was ready to put drywall, trimming back onto wall/doorway. Very solid product - will outlast our house. Smooth rolling for a light weight door. Very pleased with this project and how it turned out to be.

    Pocket door frame
This is a good product to get, I like a steel structure more than wood mostly because it’s more solid, you don’t have to deal with warping, termites, and other problems that happen with wood. This product goes together pretty easy and can be covered with nicer looking things like wood and drywall. I really like pocket doors because they really don’t get in the way and look nice.

    Simple and straight forward
This is a great 30 inch pocket door frame. I have installed a couple of pocket doors. This one is easy to assemble and to install. The parts fit together well and quite easily. There are good instructions included and it is well packaged for shipping. It is made of steel so it is sturdy and should last a life time. You just need to take your time and be careful about the length of any drywall and framing screws that they are not too long.

    Very nice product; works well
This review is for the SLIDOR 28 in. x 80 in. Galvanized Steel Pocket Door Frame. Personally, I think all interior doors should be pocket doors. They take up way less space when open and the wall space on either side of the door can be used without interfering with the movement of the door; no “swing” space required, no hinges, etc. Having said that, it is best to install them when initially building your structure; we actually needed to replace an existing pocket door and that’s a whole ‘nother ball game. Our existing frame was all wood but even if it had been a metal frame, one side of the wall had to be removed and that adds a bit of extra work and expense to the project. This is a very nice frame and we would definitely use this product again. It was interesting/challenging for us putting the frame together since we had never done this with a metal frame before; there was a learning curve. Because the instructions are all pictures, no words, we decided to assemble it on the floor first, see pics, and yes, the door is too big for this frame, but you get the gist of it.

    I'm impressed
Hey ladies and gentlemen here again with another review, before I start the review I must say I tried to find a job that needed/wanted pocket door/doors installed nothing came up before I had to do the review that being said I really wanted to install these, I've installed a few pocket door brands so far I lean towards the Johnson doors but I wanted to try these they are full steal and impressively packed, the hardware seems like good quality and the steel it's solid and strong
