A:  Yes, a #10 diameter screw is ideal for that application. Thank you for being a SPAX customer!

A:  Properly sized these are more than strong enough. They are also rated for treated wood so you won't have to worry about them deteriorating.

A:  First - the quality of the metal in these screws is way ahead of most of the others I've purchased. That said - make certain you use the right length of screw (you should go 1&1/4" into the stud - not the wall) - and make certain that you hit the stud. Personally, I'd be more concerned about the IKEA product holding the weight than these screws.

A:  I don't know what an Ikea cabinet rail is, and I'm not an engineer. For "ordinary" lower cabinets the majority of the load will be carried by the feet to the floor and the wall fastener has very little to bear. I don't understand your 90 lbs load calc but in shear (assuming adequate holding in a properly secured stud) 90 lbs will be child's play for this #10 screw. In full tension I suspect it will be OK as well just depends on the substrate it is attached to and how much of the threads are engaged in the bearing substrate. ( do not count drywall ).

A:  I am using some of these screws in tool-storage projects quite similar to what you describe. However, I am spacing mine on 8" centers and drilling a secondary hole in the mounting bracket/rail. I wouldn't trust these screws beyond about 50-75 pounds, personally. They're pretty small. Perhaps if the threads ran further up the shank/nearer the head I wouldn't be so leery of them. But, that's just me.
