I discovered these great lag bolts several years ago when building a deck and have used them many times since for applications needing high corrosion resistance and ease of driving such as reattaching the skids on my dock float and sistering a 3 x 8 timber on the dock ramp. Both of these are situations that required awkward positioning and driving with a battery powered impact driver. The special threads self drill and reduce driving difficulty and the hex heads handle the driving load with ease.

These lag screws are awesome. Used them to connect 4x4 vertical posts and 4x4 cross pieces for an outdoor sign mounting structure. I did pre-drill 1/4 in holes to get them started, although that is not really necessary. I just wanted to ensure they were going in perfectly straight. Locked down tight with a socket wrench. I also countersunk them, so they should last a long long time.

MISREPRESENTED the SIZE Says it's a 3/8" BUT...
According to the specifications, it's a 3/8" lag screw, it's NOT! If you measure the SHANK (where you're supposed to), you'll find that the SHANK is only 1/4". the ONLY place the screws measures 3/8" is across the outermost edges of the threads, WRONG!
