A: They will work but are overkill for your application. The zinc coating indicates for outdoor use. You should be able to find a similar non coated screw that will work just as good for less money

A: We do not recommend a #6 diameter screw for masonry. The smallest screw we would recommend for masonry is the #8 which would require a 1/8" bit. Thank you for being a SPAX customer!

These are very high quality, strong steel, made in USA or Germany. These are top of the line fasteners. These almost never strip, even when using a worn out phillips head bit. These can be hard to find in the store, as they have a special section in the fastener aisle, but it is worth looking for them.

Head cut not deep enough

The cut depth on the head is too shallow for a standard phillips bit, as well the width of the cut isnt broad enough for a stubby bit. Plain enough these screws are of poor design. Upgrade to contractor torx screws to improve your day. Would never buy again

surprisingly JUNK

I was so disappointed by these screws which constantly striped out the philips slot, it say multi-material, which i dont even understand how thats possible. The thread end looks nice, amd thats about it.
