I've used SPAX interior screws for some outdoor projects, and they have worked fine. But, I'm glad I got these for my outdoor projects now. They work fine. They're self starting, self drilling and I've never split the wood with them. Then they have a head to hold the wood too. In case you can't tell...I like them.

Threads are small and bit is hard to use and wobely hard to get a good seat to the screw. So that makes it slow to install. Simpson makes a better one.
