The STKR Parking Sensor is Designed to take the guess work out of parking your car in tight garage spaces. It features adjustable, ultrasonic range-finding technology. Simply mount the sensor unit in front of your vehicle at bumper level, then mount the signal light in a position easily viewed from the driver's seat. Lastly, park your vehicle exactly where you want it and press the set button. That's it! Next time the driver approaches the Parking Sensor, they will see a green light indicating that it is safe to proceed, then a yellow light warning to slow down, and finally a red light when the chosen stopping point is reached. The STKR Parking Sensor eliminates the dents and dings from garage "fender benders" and allows you to safely close the garage door every time. Easy to install with the included double sided tape and Velcro, and adjustable between 6 inches and 6 feet. Runs on 4 AA batteries (not included).

A:Â I have no idea. Mine lasts a couple months on a set of batteries.
You can also utilize a cell phone charger if you have an outlet nearby.

A:Â Hey,
I hope you are doing well.
With the garage parking sensors the batteries should last around 3 to 5 months.
Have you tried changing the batteries with fresh out of the pack ones? We have found that the sensor does not like previously used batteries. Also insuring there is no corrosion in the battery pack as well.
If not we may need to look further in to it to help you get fixed up, and if that is the case you can email us a info@STKRconcepts.com.
Let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you have a fantastic day!

A:Â Brand new batteries lasted only 10 days in this device. I had to purchase a micro-USB adapter and use it instead of batteries.

A:Â Hey!
I hope you are doing well.
I would love to help you get fixed up with your Garage Sensor.
Just a few questions:
Have you tried to reset it with pushing the red button for about 5 seconds?
Is the sensor at the bottom damaged or the mesh push in?
Could something be in line or barely in the way of the sensor?
The sensor goes out to a cone shape instead of a straight line, and the smallest thing can cause it to get it off track.
Let me know and then we can go from there on getting this taken care of for you.
I hope you have a great afternoon!

A:Â Hey Linda,
I regret that you are having any kind of trouble with the Parking Sensor, and we would love to help get this resolved with you! I have a few troubleshooting ideas to run through with you.
Have you tried changing the batteries with fresh out of the pack ones? We have found that the sensor does not like previously used batteries. Also insuring there is no corrosion in the battery pack as well. Please note, when changing the batteries, the sensor distance may need to be reset.
Something to keep in mind is sensor placement. If you can imagine the sensor comes out in a cone shape, the farther you get from the sensor, the wider it becomes. What can happen is a box, shelf, trashcan, or something similar could be getting in the way, catching the sensor, and causing it not to work properly. I have attached a diagram as a visual explanation of this.
One last thing to look at, is the mesh on the actual sensor. If this is pushed in or damaged in any way, that could be causing an issue with effectiveness of the sensor.
If the above troubleshooting has not warranted positive results, please reach out to STKR Concepts.

False Advertising - Product info sheet is different than website description
This sensor did not work for our application. The app description advertises that it works up to 6 ft. away, but the product instruction sheet that comes with the sensor states it has a maximum distance of 4 ft.

Very disappointed
Bought this today and read the instructions and put it up in the garage but it will not set distance like it’s suppose to. Will take it back and try another product.

Install was quick. Has worked every time. Since I mounted it on the edge of shelving unit, a longer cord would between the sensor and light unit would help. Could have then routed it up the back of the shelves and have less chance of snagging it.

Garage parking sensor, best I have tried.
Garage parking sensor, best I have tried. Easy setup and actually works. The thing I like about this divice is that you are not limited to only 3’ or less. You can customize a distance between 0 - 6 ft and its on point. Working great so far and is exactly what I have been searching for. I am going to hide the wire behind the pegboard for a much cleaner look.

Great concept, extremely poor product execution. I read all the reviews and thought that the poor reviews might just be customer issues with not carefully following the instructions. I was wrong. The product simply doesn't work well at all. I bought 2 of them and tried them for 2 weeks now: it took many attempts to try to set the distance on one, the other didn't set at all. The one that I was able to set a distance on only works 1/2 the time, the green light never comes on, and when it actually works, I have to creep the car VERY slowly toward it at a weird angle to get it to sense anything. The second one simply doesn't work at all unless I put an object 6 inches away from it -- even then, it only flashes red briefly, then shuts off. Disappointing because this would be a terrific product if it was only made better. The concept and implementation is straightforward; it was just executed very poorly. DO NOT BUY this product.

Was suppose to do one job...
Haven't even had this thing for on month and it just stopped working last week. Thought there was no way in heck the brand new batteries I put into this unit were dead already, (since I've only used it for a few weeks) but I went ahead and changed them out anyway. No dice. Reached out to their customer service and told them it just stopped working and they gladly said they'd exchange it for a new one (via USPS RMA label) as long as I provided a proof-of-purchase. Glad I have my Home Depot receipts emailed to myself whenever I checkout. Oh and I asked why the model the Home Depot (and pretty much every other retailer sells) is the giant red light model. They told me that's the newer model and the white oval shape model I have is an older model. Not sure why Home Depot is advertising as having this newer model in stock both on-line and in-store, but the in-store inventory is an older model.
