When installation of a Studor Air Admittance Valve is not feasible in an existing cabinet, the all-new Studor Recessed Box esthetically conceals valves while providing accessibility as required by local codes. The small, low profile box is easy to install and contains a sleek grille for a clean finish. Its integral test cap is an industry first.

    A:  This particular box is not designed with UV resistance for outdoor use, so it would fall outside of the scope of its intended use.

        I just finished up remodeling a client's casita (Guest House) in which we included a sink in their new kitchenette. Since adding a new vent to the roof would have been a nightmare, we opted to use this recessed box and a Redi-Vent instead. This box is fairly small, about the size of a 3 gang light switch plate turned on its side, but the Redi-Vent fit perfectly, not too tight. Everything worked like a charm, even when draining a full sink.
