If you are asking if the board carries an hourly rating, it does not. Generally, hourly ratings are not achieved by individual products but by the entire wall assembly. STYROFOAM™ products have been tested to ASTM E84 for smoke developed and flame spread. Please call 866-583-2583 to further discuss your application.
STYROFOAM(TM) Brand Scoreboard Insulation is intended to provide thermal value to a building rather than to be used as a flotation device. We do not recommend the use of this material for a boat application.

What can I use for sound proofing.
On FEMA.gov website, I found the following statement: FEMA does not endorse, approve, certify or recommend any contractors, individuals, firms or products. Contractors, individuals or firms shall not claim they or their products are "FEMA approved" or "FEMA certified." https://www.fema.gov/endorsement-or-approval-specific-manufacturers-or-producers If you have other questions or need assistance with any of Dow's products for your specific application, feel free to call the Dow Customer Information Group at 866-583-2583 option 4, Mon - Fri, 8 - 5 EST
Building codes require that STYROFOAM™ Brand Extruded Polystyrene Foam Insulation be protected from the interior side of a wall or roof system by a 15-minute thermal barrier such as gypsum board. In certain circumstances, STYROFOAM™ Brand XPS Foam Insulations can be left exposed in residential crawl spaces and attics when these spaces meet certain requirements such as being separated from the rest of the residence and being free of any mechanical heat producing appliances such as a furnace or water heater. For more information, consult ICC-ES Report ESR-2142, and: http://building.dow.com/na/en/applications/building/foundations/foundationscrawl.htm
For pricing and availability please consult with your local Home Depot PRO desk.
STYROFOAM™ Extruded Polystyrene Foam Insulation must be covered to protect it from sunlight (UV or ultraviolet light). It should be covered within 90 days of its installation. Sunlight will very slowly begin to degrade the insulation, changing the surface from a rigid blue plastic to a yellow powder. This discoloration may be rapid depending on solar exposure conditions. If this powdery surface is removed, degradation of the newly exposed blue surface will continue. This does not change the properties of the insulation below the surface, but it can result in a loss of insulation thickness over very long periods of time (years). Any loss on R-value is limited to the thickness of powdery layer present.
All STYROFOAM™ Brand Extruded Polystyrene has an R-Value of 5 per inch except for STYROFOAM™ Brand CAVITYMATE™ Ultra which has a slightly higher R-Value of 6.5 per inch. If requesting a product recommendation, additional details about your application is needed. Please contact the Dow Building Solutions team at 866-583-BLUE and choose Option 8.
