Product Details

STZ nipples are the way to go when selecting water pipe for your residence. Our durable, schedule 40 galvanized steel is hydrostatically tested. Nipples, fittings and pipe are available in an array of sizes to fit residential and light commercial water applications.

  • Rated at maximum 217 psi at 400°F
  • For use with residential potable drinking water applications
  • Galvanizing on nipples done by hot dip process, according to ASTM A153

Q:What is the DIFFERENCE between the shiny, silvery GALVANIZED PIPE & the BLACK TINTED type that is usually used for Natural Gases ???

A:  Our black pipe is welded black steel, schedule 40 thickness and hydrostatically tested. All threads are astm a53 spec and fit cast iron fittings of the same size. Our authentic pipe is made for industrial use. It can handle air pressure, gas, and liquid propane. Our galvanized pipes are pre-cut, threaded, genuine schedule 40 steel, and certified NSF 61, and lead-free. Measurements are thread to thread. Each pipe has been hydrostatically tested and is ASTM and ASME compliant. They have been galvanized in a hot zinc bath for a shiny, silvery finish. These are genuine industrial galvanized pipes that will stand the test of time. They’re ideal for pipe decor or water applications that are within code.

    A:  Both types of pipe are steel. Black pipe has a dark surface color formed by iron oxide during the manufacturing process, galvanized has a zinc coating.
