AnswersHello. The pile is 0.5 inches and not a quarter in thick. The size is 2'6" x 20' as indicated on the drop down and in inches under the specifications. Unfortunately, we must be abide by the Home Depot standards as they use approximate rug sizes when listing product names. Thank you for your inquiry.

This sized wasn't big enough to fit under my small dining set and still be seen comfortably so I returned it for the 8' round (pictured). I love it! Also this rug is pretty thin and I would recommend a rug pad underneath to prevent sliding.
