AnswerHi Kaly, The thickness of this rug is roughly .5 inches. The blue on this rug may be portrayed on Seafoam spectrum. Under certain resolutions and natural lighting, the rug may appear to be a different shade. Thanks for choosing The Home Depot.

Perfect for under the dining room table
My dining room and living room are one big room, so I was looking for a rug to visually separate the two rooms. This one is the perfect size and also the perfect color to complement my decor. I have a lot of grays, blues, and warm browns in the room so the gray rug with splashes of blue is a great complement. It fits under my dining table, which seats 4, perfectly.
This rug is light gray, white, with splashes of floral patterned light blue and royal blue. The blue is much more vibrant than expected; enough so to draw the eye, but not overly intrusive. The rug arrives rolled up as a tube, shrink wrapped in thick plastic with cardboard protecting each end, so the packaging has minimal waste. It is easy to put down but it takes a couple days to "uncurl" itself at the corners so be careful not to trip. The rug is soft on the feet; not too scratchy, which is perfect for the baby's hands and knees. When placed directly on hardwood floor it does need some sort of padding or anti-slip mat. I am not using a mat since it's directly under a heavy piece of furniture.
