How think of a pad should be used under this shag?

AnswerHello. It would depend on if there is a clearance you need if you're placing this in front of a doorway but generally for a shag, you do not need that thick of a rug pad as they are already fairly thick. Thank you for your inquiry.

AnswerHi. The total height is around 1.85 inches thick which we rounded to 2 inches. It is that high but the shag is soft so it isn't a tripping hazard. However, it does become a bit difficult if you do not have a strong vacuum. We recommend using one that has beater bars and is brushless. Thank you for your inquiry.

AnswerI would have no idea. You might be able to contact the manufacturer, but it is doubtful that it will be a US manufacturer. HD is likely getting the carpet from a distributor. The COVID19 has slowed deliveries on everything. However, at the time I ordered this item it came quickly. I can tell you the color definitely leans to the aqua color, not turquoise, but it is not a really light aqua. I find it versatile. It is attractive & feels plush. I have it in a living room. I hope this helps some.

This was the perfect shag rug for its name! Let me say, it took me quite a few websites to finally decide on an 8x10 area rug. I knew I wanted that shag thickness but wasn’t sure how it would look like just based on pictures alone. Well, I’m glad I went with this navy rug! It was the perfect shag and thickness...and the perfect color to go with my slate gray sectional with navy blue decor pillows! I went out of my comfort zone and got the navy blue color instead of ivory or even gray. I’m soooo glad I bought this! I even used my 15% off coupon from Home Depot and got more of a discount!

Better than expected! Worked out perfect. It did have a plastic smell but it went away day 2. It can be hard to push a vacuum - setting has to be moved to high. (Wanted to purchase felt rubber backed pad for underneath but it got list in transmit). It's fine without it. We love it..dog does too!

This Safavieh rug is absolutely the best, most plush, well constructed rug I could imagine. It is very thick; you will need a hearty vacuum and some muscles to vacuum, but ma’an is it nice under your feet just getting out of bed. Home Depot had the best price, was prompt in delivery, and just the best! You will NOT be disappointed!

No Footprints!
Im a little OCD and hate seeing footprints on rugs. This one doesnt show them. Im very pleased by the vivid color, thickness, edging and price! No bad smells to contend with. Its perfect. The runner is a little slick so get padding or carpet tape. Thank you Home Depot! I had it in three days after i ordered it!
