The SaltDogg TGSUVPROA 4.4 cu. ft. Tailgate Spreader features vertical auger assist and an optional vibrator kit that make it a more robust version of the popular TGSUV1B. With a compact size and hitch-mount design, it's a great material spreader solution for an SUV or a 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, or 1 ton truck. The spreader features a corrosion-resistant 4.4 cu. ft. poly hopper. Its hitch mount can fold away for easy tailgate access and is compatible with 2 in. Class 4 receivers. Its 9 in. poly spinner can cast #1 free flowing rock salt up to 30 ft. A 1/2 HP, 12V motor is directly wired and is controlled by an included variable speed in-cab controller.

Product was damaged, didn't notice the shaft and motor was bent. installed wiring harness went to run spreader shaft would hit center of hole. Contacted Home depot, they said to contact buyers, buyers said to Home depot would have to handle this, tried to get part from Buyers said they would have to return the whole product and would not send part out. Already installed wiring harness. This would be a simple fix if you had a vendor the would honor their product. What good is this having a warranty when they won't replace the part

Easy to assemble, throws material all over especially your vehicle and the auger that feeds is too aggressive so it throws too much. It has a mechanism to break up the salt in the hopper but it is to far above the auger and it still plugs up if moist, I'm sure someone will say use dry material but reality is when you are using an item like this it is moist out because it is snowing or freezing rain. Overall ok for the price but disappointed coming from a know snow/ice management company.
