Worked for my just below ceiling storage
There is an area in my garage which has a 10ft ceiling. I wanted to build a frame using 2x4 lumber to store camping gear 2 ft from the ceiling. I ran across these Vertical rod anchor screws and decided that I could screw them into the rafters, screw in a 2 ft rod, then attach the rods to the 2x4s also using the anchor screws. When finished it will look like a rack to store things. I installed an anchor every 24 inches to hold the weight, except on one side so I could slide the gear onto the platform. I also put anchors across the center of the platform. A Sammy's #14 black nut driver #8113911 is needed to drill the screws into the wood. The screws were easy to put in. Attaching the rods to the top and bottom was a little more difficult. It took about 5 hours for me to build the structure. The screws are convenient to install vertical steel rods. They hold well and go on smoothly. They seem to hold a lot of weight. It makes a nice storage area.

A well-engineered and manufactured product
Even though it looks like the price is too high for this Sammy's 8008957 Rod Anchor, considering the fact what it can do for the electrical and plumbing applications in commercial use, it is a well-done product and time saver. Nowadays, Sammy's wood and concrete screws are a must-have fastener for the overhead construction need.

Great hangers
Sammy's 1/4"x2" -3/8" thread rod hangers for wood are a great choice for any one looking for a way to hang a platform from above. These are used a lot by mechanical trades to hang pipes or equipment from ceiling's or floors. They're a way of taking a thread rod and hanging it from above and using it to secure something with washer's and nuts. They're easy to drive in to wood with a simple nut driver and then just simply screw in your rod and that's it.
