            Terrible Ice Maker
            I wanted to love this refrigerator, I really did. My entire kitchen is Samsung (microwave, range, dishwasher) so of course, this sweet family hub refrigerator should be part of the package as well, right? Sure it looks great but it certainly has its fair share of flaws. For starters, the water leaks a little bit whenever you're finished dispensing water. If that isnt cleaned up immediately, it will drip down the door and leave stains. I realize this is not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, but or the price of this refrigerator, it shouldn't be an issue. The real issues come when it comes to the ice maker! Be prepared to defrost the ice maker FREQUENTLY, once a week for best results. If you do not, the ice maker will clog up, stop making ice, and cause damage to the unit. While reading up on this issue, I learned that the refrigerator includes small heaters that run automatically in order to greatly reduce ice buildup, but this doesn't do the job. Every week I have to put the refrigerator in "engineer mode" to force run the defrosting heaters and then manually pull off the built up ice. This only occurs in the ice maker. I've had this unit for about 5 years now and it really has been good to me, but when people come over and comment on this beautiful appliance but then try to get ice from a nonfunctioning ice maker, it's embarrassing! Meanwhile, as I perform my weekly Friday night ritual of force running the defrosters (and listening to the annoying chime the refrigerator makes while force defrosting, I always wonder to myself, "was this worth it?" So, I'll let you decide. If ice isn't a big deal to you and you don't mind a broken ice maker, then sure, this may be the refrigerator for you. If you want ice and don't want to wipe up dribble from an appliance at this price point, please skip this model. I have attached photos before and after my weekly defrost showing the ice buildup, the cracked ice maker due to the buildup, and the cleared buildup after force running the defroster.

              Terrible Product
              here are a few lowlights of my experience- the ice maker frosts over constantly which renders it useless. the water dispenser freezes up and will not dispense water. underneath the deli drawer it floods about every month or so and then that freezes into ice sheets. every 6 months the items in the freezer begin to melt and we must manually defrost the freezer. anything in the back of the refrigerator freezes even though we have it set at 44 degrees. much like the freezer, the refrigerator also needs to be manually defrosted every 6 months since the coils are completely covered in ice. the wifi turns off on its own, so you must constantly go into the settings and turn it back on. i am sure a styrofoam cooler and a block of ice is more reliable than this refrigerator.

                          BUYER BEWARE
                          My model of refrigerator is no longer available, however, there is a class action lawsuit pending against Samsung and their refrigerators. This covers multiple models over multiple years. The ice makers freeze up and stop working. The back panel in the refrigerator freezes every couple of weeks and needs to be defrosted, even though these are supposed to be de-frostless. This causes the temperature in the refrigerator to rise to unsafe temperatures. The customer service at Samsung is non-existent. They don’t stand behind their product.
