What is the temperature range of the full size oven?

Asked by: Cmh
The temperature range is from 200 degrees to 500 degrees. And within that range Samsung admits it is comfortable with the actual temperature in oven cavity to be off by 10% at any time. Meaning that if the range is set to 450 degrees and the range only reaches 405 degrees - its totally fine. Also, when the temperature is set and the control panel chimes that that temperature has been reached, it is lying. The temperature shown on the panel is the temperature reached by the heating element. Meanwhile the oven cavity can be 150 degrees lower and take 25 minutes to reach within 25 degrees of the desired temperature. And Samsung considers that to be just fine. I know because I have been dealing with Samsung over the totally uneven heating in this oven. Samsung haS made a terrible oven and is unwilling to do anything about it. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS OVEN - I WISH I HAD NEVER BOUGHT THIS AND HIGHLY REGRET THE 4 STARS I GAVE IN MY ORIGINAL RATING OF THIS OVEN!!

30 in. 5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Dual Door Double Oven, Dual Fuel Range with Self-Cleaning Convection Oven in Stainless Steel is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 57.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much like a Wolf, at a fraction of the cost We're serious cooks and we wanted a serious range. This one qualifies, although it was not trouble-free. A few days after installation, the electronic control display basically failed and had to be replaced. The technician also showed us how to adjust the burners, since a couple of them would not go low enough to achieve a true simmer. That's OK now, and we love the dual oven and the warming drawer. The oval middle burner lacks punch, but if you don't need it to get super hot for something like blackening fish, it's fine. Apparently, the 9,500 btu rating on it is the same as on one of the rear burners ... but what nobody tells you, is that the oval burner is much larger, so that heat rating is spread out over much more real estate than the small burner. Overall, this is a good range for the money and our minor complaints are just that. We checked consumer ratings on ranges that cost double, triple or more than this one and guess what? People complained about them, too.

We have had this stove for just over two years and the oven does not heat to the temperature that it is set at. I don't think it ever has actually as food has always taken longer then expected to cook. I don't use the oven that much and I always thought it was weird as food is supposed to cook faster with convection. I finally went out and bought a thermometer for the oven and just as I thought if you set it at 350 degrees it heats to 250 degrees. Since it is past the window of the warranty which is only one year I guess I will find a repair person to see if it can be fixed. I do like the concept of the split ovens but not if I have to repair it already! About had it with Samsung, my ice maker water dispenser on the door of my Samsung Refrigerator which is the same age as the stove has already needed to be replaced! It is only me using it, not like I have a house full of kids abusing it!

When we moved, I looked for the same one but the GE was not available. The only one that suited my needs appeared to be this Samsung. It was purchased in September, 2016. I would agree with other reviewers that the barrier btw the upper and lower ovens is almost useless when needing to use both ovens at different temps. The top oven inevitably cooks at the higher temp. Within the first year, we had to have the mother board replaced. The interior lights no longer work and only 1/2 the broiler works. I also believe the temp is off as it takes 25 minutes to bake 12 minute cookies. It also cooks unevenly. Some of the cookies (or whatever you are baking) are more done than others - and don't even bother to try using all 3 racks. One of the pluses of convection cooking is supposed to be the ability to use multiple racks without having to move the food around during cooking. Not so with this one. I also dislike the deep lip on one of the racks. I have burned my hands/arms/wrists MANY times lifting the food container up and over this barrier. The stainless steel is very flimsy and scratches extremely easily. If I could afford to replace this range, I most certainly would.

Honestly wish I could return it. We replaced a failed Kenmoor Elite dual fuel range with this Samsung range 5 months ago. Issues we have: If used as 2 ovens, top oven seems to be too hot and burns food If used as a single cavity oven, temperature seems too low and under cooks food Comes with 3 shelves - one has a lip on the front. This means you have to lift food over and place down rather than sliding in - whoever designed that does not cook. The stove top works well, but the stainless steel quality is very poor and the surface scratches very easily. If you only use occasionally, then maybe fine. If you cook every day for your family, this will soon deteriorate. Oh, one last thing. there is no mode to allow you to clean the touch screen. If you wipe it with a cloth, it activates and you have to make sure you cancel any settings you have inadvertently made - again, simple to solve, poor product design. Samsung have made a dud here for anyone who actually needs to cook and not just look at the shiny nice thing in their kitchen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does Not Perform Samsung should stick to televisions. I am heartbroken over this purchase. The cooktop burners are awful, with a terrible flame, and everything burns. There is no true simmer, just heats the middle of the pan instead of simmer. There are hotspots in the oven as well and neither oven can hold a temperature. The temp drops during cooking, causing everything to either burn or be undercooked. The top oven is so short, you can barely fit a cookie sheet in there, and there is no bake option, just convection. This range looks stylish but does not perform. And the stainless steel is of very poor quality. Scratches with normal use and difficult to clean. If not, my steel has actually pitted. I've had this range less than 2 years. Should take it off the market. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

After owning a dual fuel Bosch range for 5 miserable years, we couldn't live any longer with it. Everything from the hinge needing replacement, plastic knobs breaking off, to the oven and burners never getting to the proper temperature... Luckily, we found this Samsung range. We love the versatility of this dual fuel range! It is very convenient to use both ovens (set at different temperatures) to cook meals, have a warming drawer, be easy to clean, plus, be easy to use. The only negative (I agree with a previous reviewer) is that when using the top oven, delicate baked goods tend to brown very quickly. This requires a bit of watching. Other than that, the fast heating of the burners and the oven are wonderful. The size of the oven is huge when the divider is out! I definitely would recommend this range to anyone who loves to cook.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SIMPLY THE BEST for features, design, and quality! We wanted to replace our old 30 yr old range and had SEVEN requirements listed below. This unit was the ONLY one that met ALL requirements listed below! It's QUALITY is exceptional, and was what we expected from samsung: (1) FIT- it perfectly slipped into the 30" space, ( 2) GAS COOKTOP with (a) high capacity 22,500 BTU (3 qts water 5 mins to boil) and two 9500 BTU. (3) TWO ELECTRIC CONVECTION OVENS for versatility and speed ( preheated to 350 in 3 mins); (4) STAINLESS top and front; (5) WOK cradle; (6) GRILL/GRIDDLE on CENTER burner, and (7) EASY TO READ controls with three easy to setup PRESET "Favorites" (takes 3 buttons to start the oven to our most used settings). SUMMARY: You will be impressed by the overall quality of this product. We bought this after purchasing a Samsung refrigerator, dishwasher, and washer/dryer and experiencing the quality products. VERY HAPPY!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product Because this range is so new, I could not find any reviews, I hope this review will help others make the best choice for their needs. This is absolutely beautiful. This range is the most versatile you will ever find in its price range. One of the biggest issues I had with my previous gas range was how long it took to boil water. This takes no time at all. When choosing, make sure you compare BTUs because this range outperforms anything I have found. When I started researching ranges, I looked at the features each offered and all reviews I could find. I kept coming back to this range because I wanted a split oven and I loved the gas cooktop with the added center feature (which if you look performs better due to the oblong design which covers more area and allows the most even and consistent cooking results). The convection feature (separate fans in upper and lower oven) combined with the option of using it as two separate ovens or one large one and the warming drawer just blows away anything currently on the market. If there was one thing I would change or upgrade, it would be to have easy glide racks and it would be nice if it were available in the black stainless steel. I will be posting more feedback as I have opportunities to use more features.
