AnswersI could not find this answer in any available printed or online information. HOWEVER, the requested information can be calculated from the specifications listed on the metal tag which is inside the dryer. The formula: Wattage = Voltage x Current ( which is Amps) Per the metal tag, Wattage = 5400 and Voltage is 240 ( or perhaps 220v) Then dividing Wattage by Voltage, either: 5400/240 = 22.5 amps (if 240 volts) OR 5400/220 = 24.545 amps (if 220 volts)

AnswersThere are also clearance requirements for this machine. The requirements are a minimum of 1” on the front and sides, and 5.9” in the back. Make sure you are not too close to anything.
Can you use a pedestal drawer with the dryer?

AnswersThe owners manual does not reference anything about pedestal mounting. The manual does state that the dryer must be mounted 18” above the floor when installed in a garage. Due to this height requirement, I would imagine some Samsung 27” wide pedestals would be compatible with this unit.

AnswersOn our dryer, I did not hook up a water line. Simple. No decision to use the steam setting. But if you choose to add a water line, the dial has three settings for steam. Do not turn the dial to those settings. This will prevent that feature from occuring.

I write this review trying to be fair. I cannot honestly evaluate just the product without considering the headaches caused by delivery errors and poor servicing. I am not someone who impressed with how shiny a thing is, I just want it to work with minimal or NO hassles. I received this Samsung Model # DVE54R7600W Dryer with the matching washer on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, as part of the SEEDS program as an evaluation unit. The delivery guys called me ahead of schedule to ask if they could come by early. They were fast and professional. Unfortunately they erred in installing the power cord, damaging the terminal block in the process. As a result, the dryer ran until the neutral wire came loose, and tripped the breaker. No big deal, the old washer and dryer work, and I did not have them removed. Just reset the breaker, swap the dryers, and back in business. The difficulty was finding someone to be accountable for the mistake. It took some time but the dryer was replaced with a new one, courtesy of Samsung/HD.

For years I have lived by the golden rule: most items should not be put in the dryer after wash or they'll be ruined... Knitted sweaters, nice sheets, professional clothing items, fire-resistant uniforms, and anything meant to stay soft and fluffy. This dryer, somehow, manages to dry clothes without ripping them apart to shreds, ruining the fabric, weakening it, causing it to shrink, or even fading it.
I swear to you that my most worn pair of jeans can now be washed daily because the washer (that pairs with this dryer) and this dryer only *wash* the clothes rather than eat them. My jeans don't do that mild shrink where the first day of wear had you doing odd yoga poses pulling them on - you know, the lunging and grunting and trying to remember if you had a while pie yesterday. Instead- I swear to you- my jeans look.... newer. Like.... brand new. Every time.
Of course this has a ton of features that are amazing as well- not just the ability to simply dry clothes without added damaging functions. It has a steam mode, which is perfect when I forget to pull the laundry out in a timely manner. It comes with a drying rack that sits in the drum while the drum rotates, so you can dry shoes. Even the lint trap is amazing. It's at the bottom front (I know nobody likes the one on the top that just spreads lint everywhere when you pull it out), and it has a sort of cover/trap so you can pull it out, open the tap over a trash can, and then lessen the mess.
Long story short, I enjoy doing laundry now. But get the matching washing machine to really change your world.

Beautifully designed electric dryer that matches flawlessly with the equally stunning wash machine. I love that this dryer comes with a shoe rack and that’s actually what I started out with as I had sneakers in desperate need of cleaning. The rack sits within the drum so there’s no more clonking of shoes as the drum spins during the drying process. I also like the steam/sanitize function as that works great with items like pet bedding. The air fluff feature is a must for delicate items that in the past you may have needed to air dry. The dryer arrived with the cord not attached, but it is easy to install the correct 3 or 4 pin plug.

The Samsung is very attractive in the Champagne finish and it has a much smaller footprint that my previous front loader set. The controls are relatively easy to understand as long as you go intuitively and don't try to use the manual to figure it out. An example is when using the rack for things like shoes or sweaters that don't need to tumble, the instructions say to press the coinciding button that doesn't exist. It's quite possible a different model but it goes on to talk about possible damage if done incorrectly so needless to say, I have not yet used the rack!!
I find the steam cycle lacking as it just leaves the garment damp. I had steam on my previous set and it managed steam and drying without needing to be attended to.
I am pretty underwhelmed with the Samsung pair as a whole. I don't feel it performs as well as what I had previously and I had high expectations as they were newer, more technically advanced.
The app is a huge disappointment as well. Although the description says you can use app and diagnose, it's just a code reader if you don't have the wifi model. You scan the code and it tells you what it means...or you can bypass the whole and just look up the code. Actually, the manual is good for this purpose, it lists all the codes right there and you don't need to be stuck in the laundry room to read them.

Beautiful Dryer! I love the new champagne color and it coordinates really well with my taupe/brown/gray wood floors! This 7.4 cu ft dryer will dry a super large load really well. In my former dryer, the drum was large but didn't fully dry towels and jeans unless I added another 15-30 minutes to the dry time. I dried jeans, towels, sheets, and sweatshirts all in one load and after 55 minutes, they were completely dry! This extra large capacity allows for clothes to move around and dry more quickly. I really like the see-through door window. This dryer's overall height is about 44-1/2 inches high (includes control panel) and is 27 inches wide. The depth is slightly over 30 inches and when the door is open it's 50" deep. There's also a child lock to keep out curious children! The door can be switched to open left or right. A dryer rack also comes with this dryer.
The features are vast and includes steam sanitize, refresh, and wrinkle away settings which sprays a small amount of water into the drum to deodorize clothes and reduce static electricity and wrinkles. One of the many features is that you can download the Samsung app and check the status of your dryer from your smartphone but I haven't yet figured that out (smart care setting on your control panel).
Keep your dryer manual within easy reach so you can troubleshoot any issues by understanding the information codes which will display on the panel of there are any issues with your dryer.
Like the matching washer, you will need to press the power button on before the panel will display the different LED settings. Select your settings and then press the start button.
I absolutely love this dryer and highly recommend it along with the matching washer!

we ordered the washer and dryer set in the champagne finish and what a beautiful and classy looking set it is, the appearance of these appliances gave a new modern look to our laundry room. the dryer is so advanced it is hard to describe all the great features it has , such as being energy star rated with 12 different cycle settings to match any type laundry you may have, a choice of 5 temperature settings and 5 dryness settings, auto sensor dry or you can set the time if you choose to plus steam cycles to sanitize or prevent wrinkles. this dryer is large and it can dry bulky items such as blankets, quilts and bed spreads easily and it comes with a drying rack for articles that can't be tumble dried. the features i find unique are the tinted glass see thru door, the interior light, lint filter clean indicator and the vent sensor that ensures the air duct is operating safely. this dryer is amazing and we are really impressed by it, if you need a new dryer and want all of the newest features i would definitely consider this product.

This dryer has a lot of features that we have yet to discover! Well built machine with a large load capacity. Still learning not only the controls but how to use them, like how long to set for drying and at what temperature will dry our mix of clothes without getting them too hot but yet completely dry. Thank goodness for the owner's manual. The interior light is a very nice feature, one my last dryer did not have. Not particularly quiet when working but that seems to be the nature of clothes dryers. Seems to be very sturdy so we're hoping for a long term relationship.

The SAMSUNG 7.4 CU FT. WHITE ELECTRIC DRYER WITH STEAM SANITIZE+, ENERGY STAR arrived quickly and well packaged to prevent damage. All the accessories/pieces were included to make installation easy. We selected this dryer because of the Samsung name. We like the steam sanitize (requires an easy water hook up to the back of it with the included accessories). The specific features include the drying rack and the steam sanitizing. I had a problem with the first drying cycle not completely drying all the items. It however is easy to remove the lint filter and the lint.
