we have owned this model for 8 years. it needed a warranty repair the first year which was taken care of. over the years we have replaced the water level sensor once and the ecs sensor twice. overall it has functioned well and still cleans beautifully and has always been whisper quiet. a few other things are startimg to wear out so a new linear wash samsung dishwasher is being delivered this weekend.
we did not hesitate to choose another samsung. all brands have good and bad reviews. the new model looks like weak spots have been improved. just wanted to share our long-term ownership experience.

Doesn't wash dishes at all, waste of money and time!
This dishwasher is the worst, it does NOT wash dishes and that is the plain and simple fact.
I've rinsed dishes well prior to washing and they still come out disgusting. Even simple glasses of water come out with basic lip marks (not lipstick) and have dirty water and small food particles from other pieces smeared all over the glass. <-- A simple glass used for water comes out dirtier than it went it.
Coffee cup anywhere on top rack looks like neither water nor soap even reaches it, and silverware in any spot of holder has weird dirty markings that i have to re-wipe and clean with basic handwashing/sponge.
There aren't many button options to begin with so its not a challenging dishwasher to use, and i've tried multiple different detergents, followed the few recommendations in the manual of what to use, kept the rinse aid filled etc.
Waste of money, i have to hand wash all the dishes after they come out.

Samsung Stainless steel RUSTING on outside after 3 months
The only GOOD thing about my Samsung dishwasher (stainless steel but slightly different model than this one), is that it is lightweight which will make removal and tossing into a dumpster easier.
The outside of the door began to rust 3 months after it was installed. Samsung customer support is useless and non-responsive and just tells me that it's "cosmetic" and therefore excluded from any warranty coverage. The picture I have included shows the rust "growing" out of the brushed stainless door. Beware if you are purchasing any Samsung stainless appliances as they will not stand behind their inferior products.

Just say no
This is a nice looking DW and quiet but it really doesn't do a very good job of cleaning. This is the first DW where I've had to post rinse. Not only does it not clean well it leaves little food particles distributed through out. If we get to it when the load just finishes the dishes will rinse easily but if it sits a while after washing the little particles get dried on and we have to soak the "clean" dishes before we can rinse them to put them away.

Wider than expected
The product was good and still runs fine, but when it came to the installation it wasn't plug and play. The dishwasher is wider than the standard width and we had trouble installing it because of this. The description should properly warn you that this is the case so you know what you will be facing when it arrives.

DO NOT BUY
Biggest Lemon we have ever had. Samsung has been by far the worst customer service company we have ever had to deal with. After multiple phone calls to Samsung and dealing with endless inept people there, we did manage to get them to send a tech out. Dealing with samsung was a long story. The tech's they sent out left our dishwasher in worse shape than it was in before. We spent our own money on a local tech that we knew we could trust. He has diagnosed a low pump output on a dishwasher less than a year old. It has been such a nightmare that we are cutting our losses and buying another new dishwasher, of course it wont be a samsung.

Interior needs rethinking
This was a moderately expensive product and the cleaning is good- a big improvement from my ancient Kitchen aide. Externally, it is sleek and good looking. The multiple silverware baskets are a big plus, however I expected at least a well designed and easy to use interior. It is very difficult to load with a particularly deep non adjustable and flimsy upper tray. The plate racks in particular do not hold multiple sizes of plates easily and the plates roll out of the racks.

Home Depot BIG Issues will have to return my Samsung
I wish I knew how this product functioned in my home. I LOVE Samsung. I really wanted a white Samsung dishwasher. My house is full of white Samsung appliances. I purchased this white Samsung dishwasher from the Home Depot on 1/21 and purchased the installation. Delivery and installation was set for 1/31. The team arrived and unhooked my old dishwasher and Oops, hard-wired. So, because they couldn't just unplug the old appliance and plug the new one in, they were no longer allowed to continue. Please reschedule with licensed electricians. Have called and called and called with no return calls. Called corporate on three different occasions and by three different supervisors have been told to they would be happy to refund my installation fee and I could call my own plumber. Denise then stated that Home Depot is not allowed to install washing machines, dish washers or any gas appliance in the state of Washington due to state mandated regulations. I doubt that is true. I have never used Home Depot before, but just had a new Samsung washing machine delivered and installed by Sears last year - no hassles, ho issues. Now, I have to return this beautiful dish washer and purchase an alternate brand with Sears- sadly, Sears has Samsung, but not in white. I wanted this product so much, I did call a few outside appliance installers, but they would not work on or install a Samsung appliance.

Silent Power
I have recently done a complete kitchen makeover. I looked over reviews for dishwashers and after new walls, floor tiles, cabinets and replumbing I found this to match my other Samsung appliances for the kitchen. I plugged this dishwasher in and heard nothing......but yet it was working that is how quiet the dishwasher works.
