Hello. Thank you for your question. Yes, this would make a nice decorative ceiling. Make certain to check any state or local codes for fire protection that may require the use of a layer of gypsum drywall above the plywood.

Hello, this panel is ACX and Douglas-fir. Thanks!
Hello, sheets of this product weigh 23 pounds. Thanks!
I am, haven't had floor installed yet, but our sub floor seems like it will work.
Yes, the first cut is free each additional cut is a small fee.
Some stores will charge for more than one cut, but I'm sure they will cut it however you want. The main issue is the saws they use leave a lot of tear out along the cut. So bottom line, if you need the cut to be clean you will have to cut to final dimensions with a decent saw.
It's light, don't know exactly on weight but easy to handle and cut.
If the plywood in the picture is a good representation of the product, then it's BCX. It is paint-grade (smooth-sanded with no knots), but is below stain-grade (patches and vertical cut-lines). It certainly is exterior-grade, thanks to its water-resistant glue and its Douglas-fir composition. CDX is merely construction-grade, while ACX and BCX are both appearance- and construction-grade.
