Grey Zebra Safari Self Adhesive Wallpaper

The roll of Scalamandre Grey Zebra Safari Self Adhesive Wallpaper arrived fairly soon after ordering it. The zebra design was not overwhelming or busy but the zebra stripes could be a little dizzying. The paper was not overly thick which was nice for my efforts - more maneuverable. I would have liked for there to be a grid pattern on the back of the "wallpaper" for ease in the cutting of it. However, I wouldn't really call this product "wallpaper." It's much more similar to contact paper, especially since it's self adhesive, requires no water, no glue or paste, and is re-positionable. And in my opinion, expensive contact paper. After following the directions in teeny-tiny print on the instruction sheet on how to apply the paper, it became very apparent quite quickly that the product would not stick to my painted walls in the utility portion of my basement. I didn't think they had a rough surface but it was enough that no matter how hard I tried, the paper wouldn't stay on the walls, it stuck to itself, etc. So with nowhere else to put it, I opted for the white-painted concrete basement walls. Lo and behold - even though the instructions said the paper should not be applied to it - the paper stayed up! Yes, the concrete walls are not smooth resulting in ridges under the paper but it stayed up! I was ecstatic! And the ability to re-position the paper was the best. I've hung a lot of wallpaper and border in my time and this was a nice change, even though it really isn't "wallpaper." The backing paper also did not always come off very well - I would peel it off/down as I was hanging the paper by myself - it would tear into smaller sections, not always one whole sheet, still making it an arduous task to hang it. This grey zebra safari design was nice but I found the grey to be dark so best not for a small room or closet. I'm thinking of using it for some other applications too - drawer liner, bathroom cabinet doors with raised panels, etc. Also good for covering school textbooks or other items you want to protect. Still just think it is expensive contact paper though.

This wallpaper is the best. I use it not only on walls But to accent doors, kitchen cabinets. Very well made Thick wallpaper. Easy to apply If you make a mistake gently pull off and reapply. Scalamandre zebra wallpaper is not only whimsical and very beautiful at the same time. I do recommend trying this wallpaper in your home. Be creative in using

Scalamandre Grey Zebra Safari Self Adhesive Wallpaper The wallpaper came well packed and in perfect condition. I examined each roll as the installation instructions recommended, and found them perfect. The only problem I encountered was the instructions were printed in very small type, in 3 languages: English, Spanish, and French. I found not having to deal with wallpaper paste, or having to submerse the paper in water to activate the paste, a big advantage. The self adhesive backing was easy to peal away since it was set slightly off making it easy to find a starting point to begin separating the back from the front. I love the way the design continues from section to section by completing the tail. This paper is easy to install, especially since if I go off, I can easily lift what went off, to reposition the paper, even from the starting point. More than once I had to take off a whole section, and move it with no damage to the adhesive or design. I found it easier as a 2 person installation. One person held the other side keeping it from sticking to itself. Although it is still called wallpaper, this is a good quality vinyl product I know will give us years of wear. This historical design is carefully detailed, and gives a lighthearted feeling of prancing Zebra. It is wonderful for a boys room, where it is especially an advantage to have the ability to clean it with a slightly damp sponge or cloth.
