Q:This deadbolt will NOT fit doors from 1 3/8 to 1 3/4 inches as stated. The screws are too long. I had to cut 5/16 inch from the thread length to make it work on a 1 1/2 inch thick door. Otherwise it's a good product.

This deadbolt came missing the metal collar that is used for mounting the latch into a 1" round hole. This is a temporary replacement for another failed Schlage deadbolt until the warranty unit arrives a month after requesting replacement. The clip from that one is being used, however it is damaged from the disk cutter required to remove that lock. I am giving this a one star rating because of the missing part and poor warranty performance from Schlage.

Bolts rusted within two years. Don't buy if you live in an area with things like moisture, humidity, snow, rain. Wow I've never seen lockset fasteners rust up like this in my life. Oh yea that's because I usually buy Kwikset.

Very good product at a very very good price. Took off all the broken black stuff and this deadbolt went right into its place with very minimal modifications to the door. Now my door latches closed and stays closed and secure. Love it
