It took some time and careful assembling, but happy with the results.

Pros: + Auto-lock feature can be enabled/disabled easily with the "thumbturn" located above the knob. + Quiet sound on keypad as to not disturb neighbors + Optional key-in in the event of malfunction or battery dying + Buttons light up green when pressed Cons: - Installation... 1. Tucking the wires: the wires were not long enough (on either end) to fit in the designated clips, no matter the orientation. I was still able to set them out of the way eventually. This step might've gone smoother if it was warmer outside. 2. Lining up the interior knob apparatus with the baseplate... the instructions merely say "Install cover." You MUST have the thumbturn positioned in a way that fits with the base plate (the thumbturn freely spins around and around) while simultaneously lining up the other 3 points of contact (the 2 prongs on either side of the thumbturn AND the knob shaft itself). I dread having to replace the battery. 3. FOR KNOB INSTALLATION: there are no resources in the manual or online about the knobs (only the lever type), but this is important - the knob with the slightly longer post goes outside and the shorter one inside. I thought they were duplicates and did it backwards, but there's a ring around the post on the keypad side that was not clicking into place...so I switched the knobs and voila, the ring clipped to the longer knob post. There needs to be a blurb about this in the provided manual. - "Quick" programming is not quick, which I don't mind...but don't call it quick if it takes 5 steps to make a 4 digit code. TL;DR... give yourself at least 30 mins to install the knobbed version of this keypad entry lock, don't be afraid to gently tuck the wires just outside of the clip (as long as they're out of the way of the cover), and make sure the knob with the longer post goes outside. And obviously, do not throw away your manual that contains your programming code/instructions.

I absolutely love this lock!!! So easy when your family can just enter a code to get in. We did have a problem first lock went dead due to some frayed wires. Make sure all your wires are tucked away from moving parts during installation. Customer services sent replacement with no questions asked. Couldnt be happier with this lock and Schlage!! I am going to get this for every entry in my house!! The only problems is that when the lock goes dead it stays in lock mode and there is no way to switch it to stay in unlock mode...you need the key to get in when it is dead. So either keep a key on you or hide one somewhere outside your house. But thats only if your lock goes dead...otherwise it gives you a warning when your battery gets low.

First, the instructions do not cover this particular model. There are parts on this model that are not illustrated or described in the instructions. Second, the outside door knob comes off in your hand every other time you turn it. I slide it back on, the tab clearly "clicks" into the hole on the knob and it is tight and secure, until you turn it twice and it falls right off again. I called Schlage 3 times and waited on hold for over 2 hours total, no human ever picked up. I sent 3 emails and never received a response from a human. It has a "Lifetime Guarantee" but what good is that if you cannot contact them??? I am left with no choice other than to return it. If you buy anything from these guys, be prepared to return it if you have a problem because their "Customer Service" is NON-EXISTENT. And about that "warranty"??? What are you going to do when they don't take your calls or emails??? Sue them??? I cannot tell you how unhappy I am. The only saving grace is that I can return it to HD for full refund. The lock assembly was easy to install, it was a direct replacement for an existing door knob assembly. Everything fit perfectly.

Easy to install and they work great. We put them in our home and some rental properties.

I love, love, love this product. I wait for the sales to happen then buy 2 or 3. Every entry door to my home has one and I've given to my relatives. Easy to install and super easy to program. Comes pre programed if you so choose also. I purchased my first Schlage 2 or 3 years ago and is the ONLY keypad lock I will buy (tried another brand, horrible) Push your programmed buttons and your in. No keys...unless you want to. Just love it!

I have wanted one of these keyless entry knobs for YEARS! When I saw they were on sale I had to get one. I love that these take keys or code. It was super easy to install. We used it on a side door we use for main entry into our house. It makes it so much easier when we've already loaded up in the car and forget something inside - just punch in the code and get in! Also, as our son get's older we will eventually have him come home off the school bus - no keys for him to loose! Great product!!!
