            Excellent but there’s was no mention of a black bolt cover protruding thru the door. It’s an unsightly finish to a modern looking front door lock set.

            Schlage saved the door!
            I previously bought a Kwikset San Clemente entry door deadbolt and handleset to replace the old one on our front door which didn't fit as the bore holes on our door were less than the standard 5.5 inches. Kwikset support wasn't helpful. After many hours of searching (and not finding specs for the faceplate measurements), I bought a Kwikset downtown deadbolt and the Schlage century handle to try my luck and they fit! Hope this helps someone out there who likes the look of the Kwikset San Clemente but has less than the standard 5.5 in. spacing between the 2 bore holes.

              Over priced with for poor finished product
              This handle set looked good in the picture but what I received had a cosmetic defect if you see the picture attached. This door also didn’t meet my previous door handles measurements so be prepared to make adjustments to be made in the mortise latch and the lower door handle insert for the door that so it’s not universal and should specify that or at least have measurement in the description. The cosmetic defect is evidently visible so I don’t understand how did that could have been packaged by the company and matching the finish will be a chore. I have receive way to much negative remarks in my household over also the door latch outside that you press down to open the door is stiff. This product is just faulty from the look and function not what you would expect from $100+ product.

                I am in the process of building a new home and I purchased this Door Handle for my front double door. I paired it with an electronic smart bolt to follow the modern look of this handle. It is truly a gorgeous piece. I was in between buying this Schlage Century Matte Black handle and another one from a rather more expensive store. Purchased both and returned the more expensive one. I am overall very happy I went with Schlage because I am able to match all my interior levers with the same Matte Black Door Handle. I am a fan of sleek and modern and the square back plate for this knob did the trick. I had zero trouble installing this knob myself, it is as easy as any other door handle.
