AnswersThe doorknob may be installed with the screws pointing either was. Since there is no lock on this set it matters not one bit which was it is mounted on the door. Esthetics aside, that is.

Answersthe screws effectively clamp the door between the two doorknobe. They pass through the mounting hole, which is cut with a hole saw at a specified distance from the edge of the door. That also must be drilled to mount the latch assembly and usually a small mortise done with a sharp chisel to mount the striker plate. Hope this helps.

I installed 8 of these doorknobs last night in a little over an hour. These door knobs are super easy to install, have all the screws for installation and look/work fantastic. I thought this would be much more difficult process than it was, but was happily surprised. Very slick and highly recommend these. Also, I don't usually leave reviews but felt compelled to after my experience.
