The Kerdi-Board-Kit contains the components needed to waterproof the walls for tile applications around a bathtub or acrylic shower base. The 1/2 in. thick Kerdi-Board panels are applied directly to the stud framing eliminating the need for gypsum or cement board. The kit includes Kerdi-Board panels, Kerdi waterproofing band, pipe seal, mixing valve seal, screws and washers, and Kerdi-Fix sealant.

This was SO much easier to work with than traditional green board. It cuts like butter. The screws come with it. We added niches to the surround as well and they were easy to incorporate. It's a definite for use our next bathroom project as well!

After the October 16, 2018 flood the removal of wet drywall was horrendous! When it came time to replace my shower walls (after having to have pipes in foundation replaced because blocked with mud) WOW oh WOW! Light weight, easy to measure and cut! Having Everything in the kit was wonderful! I wish Kerdi board could replace all sheet rock! It is amazing!

The kit had everything needed except the pipe wrap around for the shower head pipe was the wrong size, my shower pipe was 3/4" and they included a 1/2" wrap for it. Other than that it worked out great.

I bought this product for my bathroom remodel and it could not have been simpler. The pieces are lightweight and easy to manage when working alone. One thing that is not mentioned in all the installation instructions and online videos is that you will most likely need to wet shim your wall studs. Basically you need to apply a layer of non-modified thunder mortar to all the studs so that you have some room to tap down and level out any bumps. I would recommend you cut and dry fit all your pieces before you do this.

Easy to handle and install but required in manual 16" distance between studs is not enough to provide rigidity of the kerdi-board in some areas. Consider using more dense studs placement to avoid tile damage in the future. I would suggest to install kerdi-board on top of a studs-grid with 12" square cell size for proper stiffness of kerdi-board.
