Product Details

Quadec is a finishing and edge-protection profile for tiled edges and outside wall corners. The reveal forms a square corner along the outside edge of the tile. It can be used as an accent within the tile field on walls and floors. Quadec in anodized aluminum has an integrated joint spacer which ensures a uniform grout joint between the tile and profile.

A:  No, this profile is intended for wall use only. Please look at the VINPRO-S profile for a similar profile intended for floor use with vinyl flooring.

    A:  As far as the depth of the thinset is concerned, the thinset is applied first and then the trim is onto the top, with just a small bit of the thin set setting into the openings along the back side. We used the 3/8 inch trim with our 3/8 inch tile and had no problems.

      A:  This is perfect for 1/4" tile. It gives you 1/16" between the tile and the top of the Quadec trim for thinset. Which brings the tile flush to the face of the Quadec Trim.

          A:  The Schluter product is anodized. This protects it from oxidizing.

            A:  It does come in a satin nickel, and they do have some shapes in brushed nickel. I didn't find this particular shape in brushed nickel so you probably need to check with Schluter directly. Yes, it can be used where two tiled walls meet, or on a corner. I am using it where two tiled surfaces come together in an outside corner. You can also use it just for accent in a tiled surface. I also used it for a threshold where a tiled floor meets a wood floor.
