A:  If you email Schluter directly on their website, they are extremely helpful and fast. I have 3/8 inch tile, which they said is the most common. If you add 1/8 inch of the grout material, it comes up to 1/2 inch.

A:  All the strip has the same thickness for tiles. 1/2 or 3/8 does not matter. Just for the looks.

A:  The thicker your tile, the bigger the notch on your trowel and the thicker your tile job will be. A 3/8 inch thick tile is probably a bigger tile and you'll use a 1/4x3/8 or even 1/2x1/2 trowel. The extra thickness of your thinset will bring the tile up to the surface of the 1/2 inch trim. Schluter has a video on their website (schluter.com I think) where they demonstrate that with thinner tile, you use a trim closer to the actual thickness of the tile (because the trowel notch is smaller and thinset layer is thinner), and you have to use a bigger trim for thicker tile because of the thicker layer of thinset. I'm using 1/2 inch Quadec with a Daltile that is 3/8 inch. With my troweling technique, a 1/4x3/8 trowel was just a little too thin a layer to bring the tile up to the Quadec surface so I had to back butter pretty generously. I'm going to switch to a 1/2x1/2 trowel. I can't use the next smaller Quadec which is 3/8 inch because that won't allow for any thinset under the tile! Hope that made sense. A:  Yes. Model number Q125AE. I used the polished chrome and it really looks sharp. Do make sure you use the proper saw blade to cut it.
