Quadec is a finishing and edge-protection profile for tiled edges and outside wall corners. The reveal forms a square corner along the outside edge of the tile. It can be used as an accent within the tile field on walls and floors. Quadec in anodized aluminum has an integrated joint spacer which ensures a uniform grout joint between the tile and profile.

AnswersIt does come in a satin nickel, and they do have some shapes in brushed nickel. I didn't find this particular shape in brushed nickel so you probably need to check with Schluter directly. Yes, it can be used where two tiled walls meet, or on a corner. I am using it where two tiled surfaces come together in an outside corner. You can also use it just for accent in a tiled surface. I also used it for a threshold where a tiled floor meets a wood floor.

AnswerI would use 3/8. 8mm tile is ~0.32" thick. 5/16" = 0.312" and 3/8" = 0.375" thickness. You need to allow for the thickness of the thin set.

I really like the Schluter Edge - more cost effective...
I really like the Schluter Edge - more cost effective and versatile vs bull nose tile. Unlike the videos for installation, I found that the edges moved a lot during installation. I finally secured the Edges with a few roofing nails along the flanges and they stayed put.

This stuff really dresses up the edges of tile. If you have tile that doesn't have a bullnose version, or just want the accent of the metal edges, this works great. We used this as a threshold between a tile floor and wood floor, also we'll be using it around a recessed window to make the 90° corner because the tile doesn't have a bullnose. We also got the corner pieces to do corners of the trim.
