Product Details

Schiene is an edging profile with an 87° angle to finish and protect tile edges from chipping. The Schiene profile is typically used in floor applications, but the chrome-plated brass, bright black, brushed graphite and color-coated aluminum finishes are suited specifically for wall applications. The integrated joint spacer ensures a uniform grout joint between the tile and profile.

Q:My tile is 3x17 10mm thick. Should I use 3/8 or 7/16 edge trim?

Answer This Question

A:  The Schiene Edge Trim in Matte Black works up to a 3/8" (10mm) thick tile. For selecting profile heights, we suggest using the same height as the tile if available. If the tile is a large format tile (12"x12" or larger) we suggest going to the next size up to accommodate for the additional thin set for setting.

    A:  Depending on if the tile is going to be back buttered with thinset, we would recommend looking at the A100ATGB (10MM) or the A125ATGB (12.5mm).
