The Schiene profile is designed to finish and protect tile edges on floors and walls. It is ideal for creating floor transitions between tile and another surface of the same height such as carpet or wood. The profile is made of stainless steel and is suitable for environments with strict hygiene requirements.

Q:Will this 3/8 edging fit a 10mm thick tile?

Answer This Question

A:  This profile works up to a 3/8" (10mm) thick tile. For selecting profile heights we suggest using the same height as the tile if available. If the tile is a large format tile (12"x12" or larger) we suggest going to the next size up to accommodate for the additional thin set for setting.     A:  I don't know the exact gauge but the contractor said it was thicker than most and he had a bit of a difficulty cutting it because it is so thick. But I don't have a ruler that has such small increments to be more exact. It does look awesome surrounding my backsplash though. Sorry I can't be of greater assistance.

      Unfortunately the image is for the smallest size and not what I thought I was purchasing. Very disappointed that who ever assembled the webpages for the bigger sizes was unaware that they were not fabricated exactly the same as the smallest sizes. I had to use as delivery time was to long.
