Hello Gadberry. We do not have weights for soils as they vary by moisture content.
Manfactruers don't prodive a weight because it varies, but with that said - The average weight of a 0.75 cubic foot bag of topsoil is typically around 35 to 50 pounds, depending on the moisture content.
Thanks for reaching out about Scotts Premium Topsoil. We're here to help you get the most out of your outdoor space. This topsoil is a versatile option, perfect for both ornamental and edible plants, as well as a great amendment for your turfgrass. For the best results, we recommend mixing the topsoil into your existing soil. Avoid using it straight to backfill the planting hole of trees and shrubs. A good rule of thumb is to mix about 1 inch of Scotts Lawnsoil into the top inch of your current soil. If you have any other questions, feel free to give us a call at 877-220-3089. We're always happy to help!

As a woman without a lot of upper body strength it would be nice if they could at least give a rough idea of weight so I know if I need to buy another brand that does give the weight so I know if I can pick it up or not.
Hi Diane, we currently only have two sizes are available of Scotts Premium Topsoil. They are 0.75 cf. and 1 cf. We do not have weights for soils as it varies by moisture content.
Since persistent herbicides, such as Aminopyralids, were first introduced over 10 years ago, measures have been put in place to significantly reduce, if not eliminate, the potential for manure contaminated with these herbicides from being used in a soil amendment. We carefully consider where we purchase the manure for our products from and initially screen our suppliers by testing for persistent herbicides.
Scotts Premium Topsoil is packaged by volume. We are unable to provide the weight due to varying moisture levels in the bags.
