Can this product burn or kill your yard if you apply to much.

I applied a "heavier" amount in certain sections of my lawn where the dandelion population was excessive. It did not produce any negative results on my lawn. But you should probably follow the directions as indicated.

What is the purpose of Zero Phosphorus?

Once phosphorous is applied to the soil it can bond with other molecules to form insoluble compounds. In this form, it is virtually impossible to remove. Since many people apply "complete" N-P-K fertilizer every year, it builds up in the soil and often becomes problematic. The same sort of thing often happens with lime - annual application can make your soil too alkaline. The truth is, you should never apply anything to your soil unless you know that it needs it. The easiest way to determine this is to do a soil test. Your local Department of Agriculture will probably analyze soil samples for free or inexpensively, depending on the time of the year. Contact them for instructions and test sample boxes.

Does it kill groundsel weeds .and I need to treat 5acers

I have horses and this weed has taken over my pasture and I was told it is toxic to my horses

We recommend keeping grazing animals from feeding in an area treated for 1 year after the application, as our herbicides are not registered for areas where grazing animals feed. Can I use this while trying to reseed my pawn for some bare patches?

Weed controls will damage or destroy new seed. Wait until your new lawn has grown enough to have been mowed at least 4 times before using a weed control of any kind on the newly seeded area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zoysia lawn in Alabama, March 30 application I purchased scotts after trying the 'bargain' brand at home depot last year with dissapointing results. this year I thought I'd pay more since the reviews were consistently favorable. followed the directions to the letter, waited till the temps were consistently higher with active weeds popping up, and the grass was just starting to green up. watered the lawn in segments so the W+F wood stick to the broad leaf weeds. and waited. true to the directions, the stuff sticks to the larger leafed weeds and after 48 hrs, 99% of them are shrivelling up. at this rate they should all be dead in the next 48 hrs. I'm glad i had good weather. you may want to wait till the forecast is clear for ~4 days to ensure the weeds have full exposure to the W+F without being washed off. the grass is greening up even more over the last 3 days. I'll update this if the web page lets me. but I've always had good results with the fertilizer performance of scotts. their weed formula works much better than the other brands I try, the stuff is very fine and powdery which seems to stick better to the broadleafs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Am seeing results in 1 day/on a never before treated lawn I am dealing with 2 acres of grass that is weed infested. This lawn was never before treated or cared for other than mowing. Previous owner had attitude of if it's green it's good. Followed directions of apply to wet lawn (rain showers) with the spreader set on 4.5 for heavier application. In less than 24 hours I am seeing results, weed leaves are curling in and are going brown. Other leaves are getting spots and are wilting. Good stuff if you ask me. New grass is not being harmed, it is 1 month old and growing quickly.

However I am absolutely confused about the claim that it will kill clover garuntred. I recently applied this product by following the instructions, again not my first rodeo. The clover gets a little brown on the edges and after a week they are greener than ever. The clover actually is getting fuller with the use of this stuff. Crazy. Please help. I will love to show Scott’s my yard and they can see first hand what I’m tslkjng about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love TB +2 Weed Control Applied TB +2 Weed Control here in Virginia Beach yesterday, 03-30-13. Had already applied TB + Halts 6 weeks ago, or would be first doing a Halts application now. Wet my lawn overnight (in ground irrigation). Spread early morning because a wet lawn helps the weed control to adhere to the plant. Got it just right, didn't rain for more than 24 hours after the application. Lawn already looks good. Should look great in a couple weeks after having done this application - as it did last year. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Results We had a wet spring in the Chicago area. It led to a more dandelions than normal. I live next to a park field loaded with weeds and they attack my lawn. I had been using a different brand in the past and the results have not been very successful. After one application the dandelions are completely gone from my yard. My lawn is greener than it has been in years. I am extremely happy with Scott's. You have a happy customer here. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great results over time We needed to restore our total lawn of two acres. The lawn was covered with weeds and weak grasses with bare spots all over. Over a steady regiment of three years, with just two applications a year, we now have a lush grass lawn. We pulled plugs once a year and seeded with Scott sun & shade seed. It takes some time and attention with patience. But if you stay steady and work with the proper mowing techniques, fertilize with Scott products and applying granulated lime to control the PH, the results will come.... Please note, here in Michigan, seems the best combination is Scott fertilizers and the granulated lime simply twice a year ( early spring and mid-fall )

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazed at how effective it was I've been fighting wild strawberry for a few years now, it has just gotten progressively worse. I tried this product and made sure the lawn was WET before I applied and I am AMAZED how well it worked. I could see it was working in just a few days, and after 5 weeks, I cannot find any WS where I applied. On top of that, the lawn is deep green and lush. Totally satisfied with the result.
